We are seeking an experienced Technical Services & Research Supervisor to join our Insourcing Solutions team, located in Cambridge, MA.
As the Technical Services & Research Supervisor, you will provide direct supervision of Charles River Accelerator & Development Labs (CRADL) in vivo technical service and research group. Provides supervision and training for employees. Maintains performance and service levels consistent with and according to company standards, the CRADL organization and client contractual requirements. Recommend new or innovative techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, and maintain quality standards Prioritizes and completes on-going tasks independently following established policies and guidelines. Liaises with clients to ensure satisfaction with technical staff's performance.
Additional responsibilities include:
+ Supervises the daily activities of technical services and study team comprising of research associate/study technicians and study coordinators, ensuring all services meets organizational standards & client expectations.
+ Schedules, assign and balance workload among the technical staff for research and tech services.
+ Interacts with clients as required to address client inquiries and complaints.
+ Maintain an awareness of the financial status and impacts of ongoing studies.
+ Proactive resolution of operational and quality issues; continuously guiding and training staff to improve processes, and operational efficiencies.
+ Ensure in vivo study applications are performed in accordance with currently defined protocols and in a manner consistent with the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals and all local, state, and federal requirements.
+ Ensure creation and maintenance of accurate study records, and delivery of study data to clients.
+ Partner with the veterinarians, veterinary technicians, trainers, and the IACUC office to ensure compliance with biosecurity policies and procedures, IACUC required training, IACUC non-compliance and/or animal welfare concerns.
+ Responsible for personnel management activities such as: mentorship, hiring, promotions, training & development.
**Job Qualifications**
The following are minimum requirements related to the Technical Services & Research Supervisor position.
+ Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in animal or laboratory science, business, or related discipline.
+ Minimum 4 years in the laboratory animal industry of which 2 years is supervisory or lead technician experience.
+ AALAS certification at the Laboratory Animal Technologist level (LATG) preferred.
The pay range for this position is $100-103k USD annually Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.

The Role
We're looking for a Full-Cycle Technical Recruiter to own the hiring process from sourcing to close for high-caliber research and engineering talent. You'll partner directly with hiring managers, engage deeply with niche candidate pools, and play a critical role in scaling our technical teams.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end recruitment for Research teams, and other specialized technical roles.
- Source world-class talent through LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, Juicebox, and other platformsplus academic channels, publications, and conferences.
- Develop and execute data-driven sourcing strategies to target niche AI research talent.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to define role requirements, success profiles, and evaluation criteria.
- Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines, nurturing long-term relationships with passive talent.
- Manage interviews, candidate experience, and offer negotiations to close top talent in a competitive market.
- Track recruiting funnel metrics and provide data-driven insights to optimize hiring velocity and quality.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, ideally in AI/ML, research, or deep tech.
- Proven track record sourcing and closing research-focused candidates (e.g., AI scientists, ML engineers).
- Expert use of LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, Juicebox, and other sourcing tools.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to measure, analyze, and improve recruiting performance.
- Comfortable with deep research into niche technical fields, publications, and academic networks.
