This role requires a consultative, solutions-focused approach that requires in-depth needs analysis (discovery), art of the possible demonstrations, customized presentations and demonstrations, and delivery of written documentation and other material to support the sales team and sales opportunities. When engaged for a specific opportunity or project, the BTS role is responsible for the technical accuracy of the proposed solution.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* As a AppDev Technical Specialist, you will be required work closely with clients to understand their business requirements, assess their existing systems, and recommend optimal solutions utilizing IBM AppDev products.
* Proven track record in technical sales, preferably within the AppDev space.
* Good understanding of security practices, methodologies, architecture patterns, and best practices.
* Basic exposure to AppDev solutions, especially WebSphere Application Server
* Sales and Business Development Skills: Proven ability to drive sales processes, from identifying opportunities and developing relationships to managing client expectations.
