Sony Pictures Entertainment is looking for a skilled technical architect to design and deliver an enterprise grade master data management (MDM) solution. The studio has several internal and external datasets with varying degrees of master data maturity. Our business sponsors are looking to harmonize these data sets to unlock high-quality title metadata and data interoperability to serve various consumption use cases. The architect will be a highly skilled individual with experience profiling internal systems and multiple 3rd party datasets to produce a solution architecture. Expertise in building conceptual, logical and physical data models suitable for implementation on Snowflake SaaS is required. Evaluating existing databases and schemas in addition to collecting new requirements is key to a solution architecture. Experience with data warehousing and data modeling principles (i.e. Inmon, Kimball) in Snowflake Cloud Computing is key to this project. This project will require developing detailed design and technical documentation for our development team to implement. Experience with Media / Entertainment 3rd party dataset is highly preferred.
Responsibilities include
- Experience with profiling and working with high-volume, complex data sets spanning various subject areas for meta completeness and data integration/harmonization opportunities.
- Partner with data experts to formulate, understand the solution requirements
- Identify the right data sources / data completeness to build the final product
- Provide design considerations for both deterministic (ID based) and probabilistic (Client) record matching
- Data profiling to build the entity relationships across multiple sources
Build conceptual, logical, and physical data models - Recommend Data Quality Management methodologies for various projects
- Review existing and new data assets quality and dependency analysis including connections between them
Key outputs include:
- Technical architecture for master data management, title matching, for current and future enhancements
- Data providers assessment for completeness, aligning to business requirements and quality
- Recommend best practices to manage Data Quality and Data integrity
- Solution design for data ingestion pipelines (e.g. refresh rates, error handling, etc.)
- Contribution of documentation to IT knowledge database
- 8+ of years of Data/IT work experience and 4+ years in the similar role of Data Modeler/Architect.
- Media & Entertainment experience is an added plus.
- Experience with data modeling concepts (star schemas, snowflake schemas, highly normalized data models)
- Data modeling experience with Erwin is preferred
- Certified Snowflake SnowPro is preferred
- Data Warehousing development experience - Snowflake and/or other cloud solutions
- Master Data Management tool experience is an added asset
- Knowledge and experience of at least one data profiling tool

**Responsibilities**

+ SAFe Solutions Architect and SAFe DevOps or Security+ (or higher).
+ Extensive knowledge of Army policies and procedures.
+ Proven ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
+ Experience leading technical solution implementations with multiple stakeholders and providing strategic briefings to senior Army leadership.
+ Hands on experience with AWS and Azure cloud services.
+ Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
