Responsible for selection, management, and negotiation with suppliers to procure transport/access services at the best value/ lowest total cost of ownership based on the evolving network requirements. Manages activities to maintain working relationships with suppliers. Negotiates and manages contractual terms and conditions. Key Roles and Responsibilities :

Responsible for data analytics to perform financial analysis of vendor proposals for PMO vs FMO view and total cost of ownership including analysis of build vs buy options.

Has Profit and Loss accountability through cost reduction targets.Manages cost optimization.

Addresses cross functional operations issues with suppliers to resolve pre-sales, provisioning, maintenance problems.

May coordinate with sales to leverage buy/sell opportunities with interconnect suppliers.

Resolves legal and regulatory concerns working with internal SMEs as required.

May develop and implement analytic methods, procedures, and systems that assess and track supplier data regarding pricing, physical supplier site and building locations, and produce recommendations for choosing suppliers.

May assist or lead cross-functional teams to ensure performance standards and measurements meet required criteria. Develop and implement timely supplier performance reviews. Responsible for the development and implementation of performance improvement plans and assures the resolution of issues that result from supplier performance deficiencies.

Assist and lead investigation and resolution of billing disputes with suppliers.

Good communication and MS office skills required. Strong business acumen with a good understanding of network products or network build operations, transport/access solutions in wireless and wireline preferred.Knowledge and experience with various regulatory frameworks including state and federal tariff agreements and interconnection agreements preferred.

Technical Sourcing Program Manager for Medtronic, Inc. located in Mounds View, MN. Responsible for serving as a contact between R&D and suppliers to develop complex medical device products. Responsible for risk assessment plans, time matrices, and test strategy (Plans and Reports). Responsible for Product Validation and Supplier Quality to include technical aspects of projects. Utilize Design Reliability and Manufacturability (DRM) tools and risk mitigation. Leverage Critical Feature Identification (CFI), Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) to develop inspection methods with Suppliers. Support and report on Installation Qualification, Operational Qualification & Performance Qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) activities with internal and external suppliers. Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Master's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Biomedical Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration or related engineering field and three (3) years of experience as a technical sourcing specialist or related occupation in technical sourcing; or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Biomedical Engineering, Project Management or Business Administration or related engineering field and five (5) years of experience as a technical sourcing specialist or related occupation in technical sourcing. - Responsible for Wavelength Management product lines; explore and identify technologies and optical components suitable for existing and next gen inter- and intra- hyperscale datacenter and telecommunication market.
- Provide technical guidance to supply chain management teams on passive optical components and providing sourcing needs for PLM and Engineering leaders.
- Act a technical and commercial liaison for NPD and NPI projects between vendor and Molex Engineering/PLM teams on technology assessment, specifications, schedule, capacity, price, commercial terms and agreement with the support of Molex global and optical Supply Chain Management team.
- Work closely with Global teams, especially Zhuhai, China purchasing and production teams to coordinate component supply from small volume built to mass production.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's Degree in Optical, Electrical, Mechanical, Materials and other Engineering or Physics areas.
- At least 4 years of combined professional work experience in optical engineering (quality, testing, design, process development, application and reliability, technical marketing, engineering sourcing, product line management)
- Experience understanding the product development lifecycles for optical engineering projects
- Experience interfacing with vendors or customers.

- In-depth knowledge and experience working with Passive and active optical components (WSS, OCM, EDFA, MEMS, PLC, LCOS, packaging material and technologies, PD, APD, TOSA, ROSA, Wafer Fab, etc) for Telecommunication and Datacenter applications.
- 5+ years of industry experience in Optical Engineering including device design, process development, program management, application engineering and engineering sourcing, product line management, technical marketing/Sales.
