Summary

Lincoln Electric is seeking a US-based Service Technician to join our PythonX Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, exceptional troubleshooting abilities, and hands-on industrial experience. This role requires strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality service, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure maximum equipment uptime.

What You Will Do:

  • Install aftermarket parts and products; perform testing to verify operational standards.
  • Educate customers on maintaining/following a preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Perform scheduled and on-demand maintenance per service work orders.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues; implement repair solutions.
  • Prepare quotes and sales orders for spare parts and consumables.
  • Complete detailed service reports and documentation of all work performed.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, service performed, and proactive recommendations to improve up-time.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Travel domestically and internationally for training, installation, and service assignments.
  • Assist in other service-related duties as needed.

Required Education & Experience

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Service Technician or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical skills, including conveyor repairs, leveling, and replacement of wear items (bearings, chains, sprockets, etc.).
  • Strong electrical skills, including troubleshooting low-voltage systems, electrical panels, and 480V power.
  • Proficiency with pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Familiarity with ABB and Fanuc robotic systems.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, multi-meters, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Flexible availability to adapt to changing schedules.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel 75% of the year throughout North America (U.S., Canada, Mexico); 90% of travel in the U.S.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
