As a Journeyman Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining a wide range of technical documentation. This mid-level role ensures that all documents - ranging from standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical manuals to engineering plans and configuration guides - are clear, accurate and aligned with contract requirements. Working closely with several program team members, this position transforms complex technical information into accessible, user-friendly documentation.
Position will be located at Patrick SFB.

- Quantitative masters degree or relevant experience.
- Detail oriented, excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills especially narrative writing
- Previous Operations Management experience strongly preferred as well as experience with business intelligence and analytics
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven experience in corporate learning and development
- Experience working with managers in implementing, streamlining, or automating systems and processes
- Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems
- Proficient in industry standard Learning Management Systems
- Ability to prioritize, be curious, and deliver results in a rapidly changing and ambiguous environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $215,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
