ERM  is hiring an onsite Field Technician in Borger, Texas supporting our key clients’ refinery operations.  This is a full-time (40 hours per week) limited-term role with a duration of 1 year, extendable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs on-site tasks such as equipment maintenance, chemical sampling and testing, and confined space entry, ensuring safety and operational efficiency in hazardous environments.
  • Strong safety knowledge, repairing machinery, maintaining systems, documenting findings, and collaborating with teams to resolve technical issues and meet quality standards.
  • Strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and strict adherence to safety protocols are essential for this role.

REQUIREMENTS:

**Field Representative I, Services Onsite Technician** **Position Profile**
The **Field Representative I, Services Onsite Technician** is responsible for the daily support, service, repair, and availability of RICOH-managed devices within a specified geographic area. This role responds to service requests and device alerts, provides technical support and training, and ensures high levels of customer service.
Technicians are capable of device setup and installation, preventative maintenance, and routine service of assigned RICOH and third-party devices. Supported device types include printers, multifunctional devices, and other assets under RICOH's Service Advantage program (e.g., thermal printers, lockers, robots).
All service calls and requests are documented using RICOH OFSC and customer-provided systems (when applicable). The technician works to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) between RICOH and the customer are consistently met.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Monitor device service and supply alerts; respond to and resolve service requests to meet SLAs.
+ Perform servicing and repair procedures including troubleshooting, diagnostics, installation, component replacement, and retrofits.
+ Utilize remote support resources to minimize dispatches.
+ Escalate issues to Level 2 and technician support as needed.
+ Conduct basic and advanced installations, IP setup, driver downloads, and customer training.
+ Document service activities using OFSC and other applicable systems.
+ Replenish and replace consumables and supplies at assigned locations.

The **UAM Field Technician 1** is responsible for planning, designing, verifying locations, inspecting, or otherwise capturing information related to utility infrastructure. ● Use a fiberglass measuring stick to accurately measure heights on utility poles.

● Ensure the proper care and maintenance of any vehicle and equipment assigned including regular inspections, maintenance checks, and prompt reporting of any issues to the appropriate supervisor or maintenance personnel.

**Job Duties**
**_This position requires extensive travel throughout Joblin, MO and multiple other states within the U.S. Travel and lodging will be provided._**
+ Work with leading electrical and telecommunication companies and their utility systems to provide analysis of infrastructure.
+ Inspect and catalog utility assets to create accurate and consistent utility asset data sets for our clients.
+ Providing utility companies real-time, updated, and quality data, to help improve service and reliability.
+ Perform light GIS editing and manipulating of utility company's data.
+ Understand the use of document management systems, filing, and document scanning.
+ Execute and plan daily goals while meeting quality, time, and budget constraints.
+ Learn to identify electrical/communication utility equipment and potential hazards.
+ Review and/or correct data integrity errors within GIS databases.
+ Understand and comply with all safety regulations to maintain a successful safety record.
+ Ability to travel throughout various service territories both within and out of state, as needed.
**Qualifications**
+ Ability to stand, walk, or hike for extended periods of time and long distances, bend, reach, and move to carry items weighing up to 25 lbs.
+ Knowledge of Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Presentations, Forms).
+ Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and in various hours of the day or night.
+ High school diploma and valid driver's license required.
+ Organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and high attention to detail.
+ Ability to work and hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
+ Clean DMV driving record and ability to safely drive/operate a 4x4 vehicle as well as an ATV.
+ Completion of a two-year college or technical school degree in geography, GIS, a related discipline, or the completion of an approved apprenticeship program preferred.
+ Electric utility and telecommunications experience preferred.
+ Proficient use of computers using ESRI, ArcGIS Desktop, or other GIS software experience preferred.
**Additional Information**
**This position provides an annual salary ranging from 45,000 to 60,000+, factoring in overtime and overnight per diem. It also includes a comprehensive benefits package, a cell phone stipend, and access to a company vehicle. The starting base hourly rate will be determined based on relevant experience.**
The ideal candidate would be comfortable with traveling from location to location within the client's service territory. Candidates must be comfortable working full time with a minimum of 40 - 45 hours per week. Compensation based on experience.
