The Nurse Tech performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. The Nurse Tech provides basic patient care and assist with activities of daily living (ADL)s under close supervision of the nurse. Basic patient care and ADLs are defined as: patient bathing, feeding, and preparation for treatment, takes and records vital signs, changes bed linen, prepares treatment trays and other supplies, and assists nursing service personnel with a variety of other patient care duties that they have verified completion of competencies. - Patient Care
- Assists in patient admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.
- Measures, collects, and documents patient data according to policy (e.g., weight, vital signs, O2 sats) and reports symptoms, reactions, and changes in patients' condition to the Registered Nurse.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living and appropriate patient care (personal hygiene, linen changes, assists with meals, elimination).
- Assists with transporting and mobility needs of patient.

- Training: Student Nurse in good standing within an accredited program.

The Nurse Tech performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. The Nurse Tech provides basic patient care and assist with activities of daily living (ADL)s under close supervision of the nurse. Basic patient care and ADLs are defined as: patient bathing, feeding, and preparation for treatment, takes and records vital signs, changes bed linen, prepares treatment trays and other supplies, and assists nursing service personnel with a variety of other patient care duties that they have verified completion of competencies.
