**Overall Job Summary**
This position is responsible for strategic direction, leadership, and oversight within the Information Technology organization across multiple technology and functional domains. This role will manage a team responsible for project delivery, ensuring systems stability and introduction of new system capabilities and technical vision to support Tractor Supply's growth strategy
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)**
+ Lead an IT team responsible for implementing and maintaining a portfolio of applications, processes and infrastructure that support the business or internal IT teams that depend on it.
+ Responsible for delivering key projects and initiatives across multiple application and technology domains - ensure that projects are delivered on-time and on-budget.
+ Develop and cultivate strong stakeholder relationships and maintain effective communication channels; assist executive IT Leaders in understanding and negotiating deliverables.
+ Identify technology trends and make recommendations for technology platforms that will assist in supporting IT and company strategies and initiatives.
+ Partner with other IT Leaders to maintain and ensure appropriate project management disciplines are in place and adhered to; prioritization is consistent across domains; systems and changes are properly tested; TSC systems are available, stable and secure at all times.
+ Maintain a strong partnership and working relationship with all of our third party vendors; ensure we are getting the best possible resources and that they are on task and on schedule with projects and initiatives.
+ Support the annual strategic planning process, acting as thought partner with Leaders in all areas of TSC, including IT, store operations, merchandising, marketing, e-commerce and finance.
+ Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action.
+ Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintain a safe and secure work environment; develop professional growth opportunities
**Required Qualifications**
_Experience_ : 12+ years of IT experience in the retail industry.
_Education_ : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
**Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities**
+ Experience in IT architecture practices, project lifecycle management, software development and operations/support. Strong knowledge of IT financial management.
+ Experience with change management and root cause analysis techniques.
+ Process improvement experience.
+ Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
+ Strong leadership and analytical skills. Proven track record of leading strategic change across technology environments.
+ Excellent planning and organizational skills.
+ Proven and demonstrable experience establishing and documenting standards, guidelines, and best practices.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong ability to influence both IT and business partners.
+ Experience and comfort dealing with all levels of a matrixed organization and leading primarily through influence.
+ Experience in a fast-paced technology environment, with a strong focus on business and financial results.

Overview:

Join an enterprise applications team focused on advancing warehouse and supply chain operations. Vaco is seeking a technical expert with substantial experience in software development and deep familiarity with warehouse management, supply chain technologies, and enterprise resource systems. This role emphasizes supporting and improving large-scale Blue Yonder/JDA WMS implementations integrated with core ERP platforms. This role requires onsite presence in Irving, TX, four days per week. Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen and must be legally eligible to work in the United States, as our client is unable to sponsor at this time.
  • Deliver ongoing support, administration, and enhancement for complex Warehouse Management Systems, with involvement across inbound, outbound, inventory, and operations workflows.
  • Customize, configure, and optimize Blue Yonder (formerly JDA) WMS, including workflow adjustments, integration points, and system performance fine-tuning.
  • Engage closely with business users to understand operational needs, gathering requirements for system improvements and translating them into effective technical designs.
  • Engineer, test, and launch software upgrades, interfaces, and automation features, using contemporary development frameworks and integration standards.
  • Design and implement data and process integrations between WMS, ERP, and various third-party logistics/supply chain tools to enable seamless data movement and business process continuity.
  • Produce and update comprehensive technical documentation, specifications, and knowledge base articles for processes and enhancements.
  • Take a leading or contributory role in system upgrades, new module implementations, and project-based enhancements for WMS landscapes.
  • Continuously monitor critical application performance, proactively troubleshoot issues, and ensure high system availability and reliability.
  • Serve as a Tier 2/3 escalation point, providing advanced support, resolving complex issues, and mentoring colleagues within supply chain IT and operations.
  • Partner with application vendors and internal teams to coordinate software enhancements, patches, and new deployment rollouts.
Required Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least five years of hands-on programming experience (e.g., .NET, Java, .SQL, Python) within enterprise solution environments.
  • Solid grasp of key supply chain and warehouse operations-ideally within manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution sectors.
  • Minimum two years supporting and customizing Blue Yonder (JDA) WMS, proficient in MOCA scripting/commands, configuration, Page Builder/Jasper reporting, Java, rollout automation, and system integrations.
  • Working knowledge of ERP ecosystems such as IBM iSeries, SAP, Oracle, Infor, or Microsoft Dynamics, specifically with integration to warehousing.
  • Experience in Agile software delivery and DevOps tools/methodologies.
  • Familiarity with electronic data interchange (EDI), API-driven integrations, and data exchange protocols.
  • Strong analytical abilities with proven SQL/data analysis and visualization skills (e.g., in Excel).
  • Exceptional communicator with demonstrated capability to explain technical solutions to business stakeholders and manage multiple project priorities.

Desirable Skills:
  • Prior experience in middleware or integration platforms (such as Dell Boomi, MuleSoft).
  • Prior hands-on projects linking WMS with shipping (ProShip, Nshift) or material handling systems (conveyors, RF devices, printers).
  • Experience with Blue Yonder WMS version 2018 or newer.
  • Relevant industry certifications, particularly in Blue Yonder WMS or major ERP solutions.

The Product Manager is responsible for the overall direction for technology supporting our Distribution & DC Automation capabilities in Jacksonville warehouses in US. Also, will align product strategy, roadmap, technical capabilities, and delivery in support of current and future business goals.

As Technology Product Owner role is accountable, responsible for Technical Product Management (various technologies such as DCS/SAP eWM/WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), Labelling & Outbound Transportation of the Distribution organization, supporting the Medical/Vision Distribution Centers within US.

Provide Technical & Functional Leadership for Warehouse Management Platforms/Systems and responsible for delivery of strategic imperatives that will drive continues improvement of systems, processes, and reliability.

Logistics & Distribution Product line will lead the advancement of our capabilities through automation and digitization of products such as DC Automation, Dynamic Labelling, RFID Tagging, RF Scanners, Voice Pick, etc.

This individual will require a good mix of project management skills with business and technical acumen to drive measurable value aligned to business needs. Driving a culture of innovation with a focus on developing talent will be key to ensure team members are in tune with emerging industry and technology trends.

In addition, this product manager will infuse Intelligent Automation services to optimize internal processes and improve product flow measured via OTIF-D and Cost to Serve. Also implementing user centric industry leading strategies in areas of design and rapid prototyping, will deliver Minimal Viable Products with speed and agility to meet the needs of the customers we serve.

Responsibilities:

  • Shape the vision / roadmap for and steer the squad in delivering products / platforms features / work oriented around business impact.
  • Shape the overall Engineering and Technology architecture definition, roadmap, and technical decisions for the product in coordination with the Product Group Engineer and BU Architect. Accountable for ensuring that technical implementation is aligned to the BU Architecture vision, economic framework and business needs.
  • Work with squads to problem-solve technical challenges and implement solutions, using the squad technology strategy as a guide.
  • Drive development and selection of technical solution options (from the approved list of solutions) and test concepts / potential solutions with users.
  • Shape and prioritize backlog, applying business expertise and understanding of customer needs, translate requirements into user stories & acceptance criteria.
  • Approve all documentation related to the product.
  • Balance business value with technical feasibility while prioritizing requirements and features, optimizing cost, and improving delivery efficiency.
  • Plan resourcing for the squad (i.e. new role, change in role), create Technology Services Engage requests, interview, select and onboard members to join the squad.
  • Accountable for shaping and hitting squad OKRs.
  • Work closely with business partners to establish the products’ business value and support messaging, communications, and customer outreach as necessary. Drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
  • Interact with other Squads within the Product / Platform as part of synchronization ceremonies to implement cross-squad tasks.
  • Collaborate to ensure all partners are clear on product roadmap activities, design, interdependencies, and timelines.
  • Actively participate in all squad ceremonies; leads and optimizes the flow of value using various tools and reporting cadence.
  • Lead issue resolution with Network and business partners for SAP eWM WMS.
  • Support issue resolution with WCS, Infrastructure, external suppliers, and business partners for WMS application/s.
  • Partner with TL's and TS to scope, define, and implement changes and projects.
  • Work with Security Risk Management, Infrastructure, and DC Operations teams on cyber risk remediation.
  • Roadmap planning with Deliver organization.
  • Work with the DC operations and QA team for site audits.
  • Work with vendor management team/s for SOWs and Purchase Orders.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of Supply Chain, Supply Chain IT and/or relevant business experience within healthcare.
  • Proficiency in end-to-end supply chain processes with strong business insight into Distribution/Logistics and Warehouse Management Systems is required.
  • Experience as SAP eWM WMS techno-functional is a must. Need to have done at least two SAP eWM warehouse implementations.
  • WCS (Exacta) and WES are required. Warehouse control systems such as SI, Dematic, BOSS, RFID, conveyors, and VLM’s are an asset.
  • Knowledge of S/4 HANA is preferred.
  • Data driven. Must be able to identify AI/ML opportunities in a real-time DC Ops environment.
  • Innovative and AI first mindset.
  • Proficiency in SDLC methodologies including waterfall, agile and Scaled Agile.

Director, Packaging Shipping Systems (Logistics and Distribution Technology)
Reporting into the Director Packaging Distribution, Components and Systems COE the Director, Logistics and Distribution Technology will be responsible and accountable for subject matter expert technical support for distribution and logistics of human health Drug Substance, Drug Product and Finished Goods globally.
The Packaging Technical Operations organization aims to be an industry leader in problem-solving, delivering robust and pragmatic technical solutions to accelerate the commercialization of new products, and ensuring an uninterrupted, compliant supply of commercialized products for the benefit of patients. The Logistics and Distribution Technology Director is integral to this mission. The successful candidate will possess deep technical expertise, a strong track record in problem-solving, strategic acumen, and execution, along with exceptional leadership skills to shape the technical capabilities and strategic direction for a global, cross-modality technical team.
The Director will lead a team of technical experts responsible providing Logistics and Distribution Technology Center of Excellence support to the enterprise. The leader will be responsible for executing the organization's priorities and ensuring the successful completion of projects. This includes technical support to the internal and external manufacturing sites as well as Third Party Logistics providers to ensure robust, compliant distribution of products through guidance on distribution qualification activities for shock and vibration as well as thermal protection system testing and qualification and leading execution of qualification of complex systems. In addition, characterizing the real-world distribution experience to enable translation into standard work development for distribution related characterization across packaging platforms to ensure protective packaging designs.
The candidate is expected to build inclusive, collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, such as packaging and 3rd party logistics sites, supply chain and technology teams, and regulatory and project leaders. The successful candidate will demonstrate ownership and make informed cost/benefit decisions based on the analysis of inputs, outcomes, risks, and company-wide prioritization.
**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
+ Provide subject matter expertise and ensure scientific rigor, technical problem solving and execution excellence across the portfolio, including interrogation of the data/ science through technical reviews and exploring alternative ways to view and solve problems to achieve results.
+ Provide strategic leadership and direction for development of standard work to characterize the real-world distribution environment, and to translate that into distribution related characterization of packaging systems.
+ Ensure thorough engineering and distribution packaging science is applied to deliverables for new product introductions and technology transfers across the network.
+ Deliver the development, design, construction, qualification/ validation and/or initial operation of complex tertiary packaging components and processes, including environmental (temperature, shock, etc.) monitors, using new or existing technologies for new and commercial human health products including active pharmaceutical ingredients, drug substance, drug product, finished goods including combination products, and samples.
+ Drive proactive risk management activities, including risk assessment, risk mitigation, and risk communication strategies.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure that all platforms meet safety, efficacy, quality, and robust supply standards.
+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including commercialization, quality, analytical, regulatory, manufacturing, and Supply Chain to facilitate effective technical support. This includes above site support for significant investigations, complaints monitoring and rapid response activities.
+ Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve the effectiveness of COE support. Manage a portfolio of work, holding the team accountable to deliver on priorities
+ Remain informed of current Good Manufacturing Practices, cGMP, and Good Distribution Practices, cGDP, and requirements and industry trends as described in worldwide regulations and industry standards
**Minimum Education Requirements and Experience:**
+ Bachelor of Science (BS) in packaging, mechanical, chemical, biochemical engineering, pharmaceutical science or chemistry or related fields with fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical packaging, combination product assembly and packaging, or related technical fields; **OR**
+ Master of Science (MS) in packaging, mechanical, chemical, biochemical engineering, pharmaceutical science or chemistry or related fields with twelve (12) years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical packaging, combination product assembly and packaging, or related technical fields; **OR**
+ PhD in packaging, mechanical, chemical, biochemical engineering, pharmaceutical science or chemistry or related fields with eight (8) years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical packaging, combination product assembly and packaging, or related technical fields
**Required Skills and Experience:**
+ Subject matter expertise in distribution technologies (e.g. cold-chain, thermal protection systems, temperature profiles, monitoring technologies, shock, and vibration), processes and operations across internal and external partners and third-party logistics providers. Subject matter expertise in development and qualification of package design and/or distribution/ transportation technologies for pharmaceutical products including parenteral and/or medical device and combination products.
+ Demonstrated experience in a leadership role, managing technical team in support of packaging or distribution operations, or related functions.
+ Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with an ability to interrogate the science, identify true requirements, and detect critical flaws including ability to determine areas of potential risk, generate gap analysis and mitigation strategies
+ In-depth knowledge of global regulatory requirements for distribution including good distribution practices.
+ Able to guide key activities including development of standard work, investigations, and problem solving
+ Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and implementing best practices in technical support.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.

The salary range for this role is
$153,800.00 - $242,200.00
