The Senior Research Technician safely performs moderately complex activities and/or product development activities with minimal supervision. The new hire will collaborate with engineers and customers to solve related problems and address specific client needs. + Work with project leaders to develop new test methods, improve existing techniques, and update and create SOPs.
+ Work with engineers and internal customers to collaborate on the design of special fixtures & tooling.
+ Use electronic data acquisition and metrology tools, such as micrometers and surface profilometers, to collect process information.
+ Record test and measurement data.
+ Perform preliminary statistical data analysis and present results.
+ Maintain laboratory equipment including set-up, operation, and troubleshooting of experimental equipment or instruments. Lead troubleshooting initiatives and machine repair efforts.
+ Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
**REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Associate degree in an engineering, technical, or science-related field or in lieu of degree demonstrated equivalent knowledge with 4-7 years of experience
+ Work experience with various equipment such as complex assembly and processing or test equipment with CN/CNC & PLC controls, and/or lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other finishing machines
+ Ability to read engineering drawings
