Cedar Park Med is hiring a Technology Services Technician for an on-site role in Stony Brook, NY.

** Schedule/Shift:
Full-Time | 37.5 Hours per Week | 10-Month Assignment
Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (hours may vary)

This is a 10-month assignment offering a full-time schedule and a chance to work in a supportive technical environment. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, hands-on with hardware/software troubleshooting, and able to manage various IT tasks efficiently.

Position Overview:

The Technology Services Technician will be responsible for providing desktop support and technical services in a clinical or academic setting. This includes installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for a range of devices and software systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Image, install, configure, maintain, and secure PCs, laptops, and other devices within the domain.

  • Install, upgrade, and patch operating systems (Windows, iOS, Android).

  • Deploy software updates across multiple platforms.

  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware including PCs, laptops, mobile devices, AV equipment, and peripherals.

  • Install and maintain network printers.

  • Participate in IT projects and provide help desk ticket support.

  • Offer remote assistance to customers when needed.

  • Evaluate and test new hardware/software solutions.

  • Collaborate with clinical/technical staff to implement hardware and software modifications, including peripheral installations.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of technical support experience.

  • Strong knowledge of multiple operating systems and hardware platforms.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, kneel, squat under desks, and climb ladders.

  • Immunization records are required and must be up to date.

  • Pay: $30.00 – $39.00 per hour (based on experience).

Overview:

The Program Manager will lead planning, coordination, and execution of technology service delivery projects including enterprise PC lifecycle deployments, mass surplus events, and Tiered technical support programs. The role demands a hands-on leader who drives results through disciplined application of project management methodologies (PMBOK, ITIL v4), technical acumen, and team leadership. The PM will ensure alignment to performance standards, compliance with security protocols, and effective collaboration with government stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the full project lifecycle for technology refresh, logistics, surplus, and support programs, ensuring milestones, budgets, and quality expectations are met.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, resource forecasts, and communication matrices.
  • Direct and coordinate a cross-functional delivery team of technicians, leads, and subcontractors across multiple locations, including remote and on-site staff.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the client (e.g., OCIO, COR/ACOR, CAO Business Units) to track performance, escalate issues, and deliver value-added reporting.
  • Oversee asset management, imaging workflows, secure inventory storage, shipping/receiving, and end-user deployment.
  • Lead planning and execution of surge events (e.g., Congressional Transition) by scaling resources within 30 days, as required.
  • Implement and improve ITIL v4-aligned service management processes (Incident, Change, Asset, Configuration).
  • Ensure cybersecurity standards, physical inventory control, and media sanitization protocols are rigorously applied.
  • Provide written weekly and monthly performance reports and lead executive-level status meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • PMP certification (active, from PMI) required.
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification required.
  • Bachelors degree in IT, Management, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 7+ years of experience managing large-scale IT deployments or support operations in a federal or DOD environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams across Tier 1, 2, and 3 support levels.
  • Experience coordinating secure IT asset handling: loading dock logistics, barcode tracking, and disposal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with government contracting environments, preferably in a Congressional, Legislative Branch, or Civilian Agency context.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting systems in accordance with NIST RMF and House Information Security Policies.
  • Strong understanding of MDM platforms (e.g., Intune, JAMF, Workspace ONE).
  • Experience managing against formal SLAs and QASP frameworks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for executive briefings and escalation handling.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Onsite presence in Washington, D.C. as required; some travel may be needed for district office support.

Position Purpose

The ETS Administrator is responsible for supporting both all PCs, Laptops, Tablets and mobile devices at UniFirst. The ETS Administrator will support the applications on these devices and provide troubleshooting to resolve any issue.

Problems and Challenges

The ETS Administrator will be responsible for all desktop OS devices and mobile devices. They will be required to provide strong customer services while diagnosing and repairing all hardware and application issues residing on these devices. This position will need to have a strong background with mobile devices and the Android Operating System.

Essential Position Functions

Principal Accountabilities

  • Support the Applications, Hardware and OS for all Desktops. Laptops, Tablets and mobile devices. This support is done 95% remote.

  • Strong Knowledge of MDM administration tools like Microsoft Intune or comparable tools.

  • Provide internal customer support to UniFirst Team Partners while remotely diagnosing issues.

  • Diagnose and resolve all issues on Windows and Android systems, and well as Printers, Time Clocks, and misc. endpoint hardware.

  • Create and Maintain Images for all devices.

  • Assist with implementation of IT Projects coordinated by the Manager

  • Setup and Installation of all Desktops. Laptops, Tablets, mobile devices, and Printers.

  • Assist with basic audiovisual support for conference rooms.

  • Travel to UniFirst locations in North America to upgrade computer equipment (up to 25% travel)

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 2+ Years working in a Service Desk or Desktop Admin position.

  • Experience working with diagnosing issues on PCs.

  • Experience with MDM Solutions like Intune, Jamf, or Workspace1

  • Strong focus Customer Service and Satisfaction.

  • Strong Verbal and Written Communications Skills.

  • Experience working in an Active Directory Domain Structure.

  • Ability to diagnose technical issues with remote users over the phone.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Android operating systems

  • 1+ Years working in a business environment as part of a team.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

  • Hybrid 50% in office

  • Valid Driver's license

Essential Functions
+ Under the direction of team members, they learn to resolve minor computer issues.
+ Adequately documents notes and resolution to issues in ITIL ticketing system.
+ Updates support staff regularly on the status of projects, incidents, service requests.
+ Responds to messages according to priority schedule. Under the direction of team members, they learn to support new and existing systems while keeping abreast of technology changes.
+ Under the direction of team members, implements enterprise defined security policies (hardware and software).
+ Works with team members to identify solutions and perform tasks that accomplish individual and team goals.
+ Gains knowledge of the department's / facility's functions. Under the direction of team members, the CFS Intern is involved in a variety of projects that support the needs of the department / facility. - Performs other duties as assigned.

+ Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer hardware (pc, mouse, monitor, keyboard).
+ Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
