Technology Modernization - Strategy Manager
As a Technology Modernization Strategy Manager, you'll provide strategic technology advisory services to address business needs throughout client organizations for the Technology Modernization Practice - all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform detailed analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, documenting conclusions, and providing recommendations
Utilize and continuously learning new technologies to collaborate with team members and enhance service delivery
Engage directly with client executive leadership to lead the analysis, documentation and recommendations of technology strategies, business process improvements, technology platforms architectures, custom application design, strategic roadmaps, transformation business cases and other solutions as required.
Leverage various data collection techniques, selecting appropriate method and prioritization to fit project objectives and deliverables, and applying established analytical models to evaluate findings, data, costs and benefits.
Assist in strategic planning that integrates multiple functional disciplines including accounting, finance, sales, operations, and human capital management and information technology to support the client's business strategy and operational plans.
Assist in strategic road mapping and implementation services that effectively and efficiently meet business objectives and ensure a return on investment.
Develop recommendations that leverage artificial intelligence, strategic enterprise architecture, cloud / infrastructure modernization, IT operational improvements.
Assist practice leadership in creating proposals, budgets, and work plans. Participate in other business development activities as appropriate.
You have the following technical skills and qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, information technology, MIS or related field. A master's degree is a plus. MBA is preferred.
+ 5+ years of management consulting experience or equivalent required
+ Must be able to demonstrate creative problem-solving skills, critical thinking aptitude, and experience with data modeling and/or process mapping.
+ Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in cross-functional teams.
Experience with logical design for organizational business hierarchies and dimensions in a multi-company environment.
+ Leading and coordinating business and technology capability strategy, operating model strategy, diligence and integration/separation strategy development.
Fundamental knowledge and ability to document and assess the business life-cycle processes (i.e., order to cash, procure to pay, record to report, hire to retire, etc.)
Hands-on experience and architectural understanding across enterprise business applications (CRMs, ERPs, HCMs) with platform agnostic strategy experience
Experience developing strategic business cases for enterprise system transformation (i.e., application rationalization, investment needs, value-added saving opportunities, etc.)
Experience developing strategic roadmaps for enterprise system transformations (i.e., prioritized phasing, deployment strategies, etc.)
Experience developing strategies that leverage artificial intelligence, strategic architecture, enterprise architecture, cloud / infrastructure architecture, IT operations (ITIL / ITSM)
Consistent with the firm's hybrid work model, this position will require in-person attendance at least two days per week, either at a Grant Thornton office or client site

Reporting to the Director of Networking and Telecommunications, the Network Engineer performs complex engineering, including problem diagnostics and resolution, focused on the installation, configuration, and on-going evolution of campus networking to support Internet access, remote access, wireless networking, Voice over IP, and associated infrastructure. This position is approved for hybrid work, which requires being in the office at least three days per week.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, document, automate, and otherwise support network equipment, including but not limited to: switches, routers, UPS, diagnostic equipment, monitoring/security systems, wireless controllers/access points, VoIP, and other network servers
  • Assure network stability, operability, and proper configuration of assigned technical systems and components
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex network configuration, connectivity, security, and access problems
  • Configure and remediate problems with IoT devices including cameras, electronic door access, alarms, and other building automation systems
  • Monitor network status, statistics, and system logs
  • Maintain firewall access rules, VPN (site-to-site and client-based), and end-user network access control systems
  • Protect the network from unauthorized access or malicious intent.
  • Configure, maintain, and support connections to multiple Internet Service Providers, Internet2, cloud services, and consortium colleges
  • Maintain campus copper wiring and fiber optic cabling plant, including terminate/test Ethernet cabling, document, and perform network cross-connects. Provide direction to wiring contractors regarding locations and standards to be followed when installing new cabling.

Position Requirements:
  • College degree in a related field and/or combination of technical school education, training, certifications and experience. Industry standard certifications from Cisco, HP OR Juniper such as a CCNA/CCNP/JNCIA/JNCIS. such as MCSA or CCNA preferred.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in administration of an enterprise network, including Microsoft Active Directory Services, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, VLAN's; routers, switches, firewalls and other network infrastructure components. Experience in an insurance or healthcare environment preferred.
  • Must have an extensive background in internetworking, LAN, WAY, and Wireless technologies. A strong understanding of core internet protocols and applications is required.
  • Must have experience working with VoIP switches, Link Aggregation/Trunking, Spanning Tree, Nic-Teaming, iSCSI networks, Jumbo Frame network design and Packet Capture Analysis using Wire Shark.
  • Knowledge of networking in Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS is a plus.
  • Ability to read, analyze, write and interpret technical procedures and general business documents.
  • Ability to exchange information effectively with other staff at varying levels of responsibility and varying levels of technical competency.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks appropriately, meet deadlines, and complete projects in a timely manner.

Network Engineer

Purpose

Responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting the Train Control computer systems and network equipment through implementation of hardware and software upgrades to maintain a secure and reliable operating level. * Leads Train Control System support staff in rigorous detailed technical analysis, design, development, and implementation of all aspects of the maintenance and enhancement of the Train Control Systems.

* Be an integral part of twenty-four by seven availability of four Train Control Systems facilities and network infrastructures, extensive fault-tolerant network capabilities ensuring continuous operations of train movement throughout the Train Control Systems.

Requirements

**Basic Qualifications:**
- Hands-on experience configuring CISCO / Juniper network devices
- Compliance with DOD 8140 IAT Level II, Holding Sec +, CISSP, CASP, or other DOD compliant certification

- Work support ticket queues and resolve in a timely manner

- Manage migrations of Exchange to Exchange or Office 365 and Active Directory.

- Undertake installation, upgrades, and support for VMware and Hyper V environments.
- Conduct installation and support for SonicWall and other major vendor network equipment and firewalls.
- Oversee email, anti-spam, and virus protection, along with setting up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network usage, issues, and outages.
- Ensure cost-effective and efficient use of servers.
- Propose and implement IT solutions to business and management problems for clients.
- Analyze and resolve faults, ranging from a major system crash to minor issues.
- Implement routine preventative measures and maintain and monitor network security, especially when the network connects to the internet.
- Provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence.
- Collaborate closely with customer staff and other IT staff.
- Plan and implement future IT developments and undertake project work.
- Provide documentation, network diagrams, and assistance with scope creation.
- Demonstrate excellent customer interaction skills. Requirements - Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is essential
- Prior experience with Checkpoint is required
- Must have in-depth knowledge of Cisco ASA
- Familiarity with Cisco Routers is important
- Proficiency in Cisco Technologies is necessary
- Experience in AB Testing is advantageous
- Must have knowledge of Backup Technologies
- Ability to handle Computer Hardware is essential
- Experience with Configuration Management is preferred
