This role will entail driving their personal vehicle to customer sites, working in the elements, and being trained on fiber splicing and buildouts.

+ Maintains all communications equipment, components and associated equipment. Coordinates assigned communication equipment maintenance. Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Job Summary:
The Critical Power Level 4 Technician is an expert in the critical power industry and has extensive experience with telecommunications, utility and/or UPS power systems. This is a leadership position that will supervise and train less experienced technicians. A level 4 technician should be able to design custom power solutions and provide turnkey installations. **Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Cross-Functional Coordination:** Collaborate with teams such as **AMOC, AMI LAB, DA, DART LAB, Telecom Operations, and Power Delivery** to implement network solutions.
+ **Network Performance Monitoring:** Oversee network performance in alignment with agreed-upon **SLAs** and drive continuous optimization efforts.
+ **Vendor & SLA Management:** Act as the primary supervisory point of contact with **network vendors** , enforcing SLAs and ensuring timely resolution of network design issues.
+ **Network Expansion & Design:** Develop and implement strategies for Mesh network growth, considering factors such as **terrain evolution, new developments, and service territory expansion** .
+ **Site Surveys & Network Enhancements:** Organize surveys to determine placement of **new access points, relays, or other enhancement devices** to improve network efficiency and Mesh Network Coverage.
+ **Governance & Utilization Framework:** Establish governance for network usage across various business applications, including **billing, AMI, distribution automation, lighting, and smart cities initiatives** .
**Qualifications & Experience:**
+ **Bachelor's degree** in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
+ IT Specialist II: 2+ years of relevant experience in telecommunications, network operations, or a related technical field.
+ IT Specialist Sr: 4+ years of relevant experience in telecommunications, network operations, or a related technical field.
+ IT Consultant: 6+ years of relevant experience in telecommunications, network operations, or a related technical field.
+ Strong understanding of **network design principles, RF mesh technology, and vendor management** .
+ Experience troubleshooting network hardware, firmware, and performance issues.
+ Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational efficiency.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
+ Knowledge in scripting and programming languages (e.g. - Python)
+ Knowledge in cloud platforms. (e.g. - AWS and Azure)
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools. (e.g. - Excel, Power BI)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with **mesh network infrastructure and large-scale telecom operations** .
+ Familiarity with utility-based network governance and **smart grid technologies** .
