We are currently seeking afull-time Telehealth Specialist to support ourstate correctional facilities across the state ofIllinois . Salary starting at $78,000 depending on years of experience.
TheTelehealth Specialist is responsible for coordinating and supporting virtual healthcare visits to ensure a smooth, positive experience for patients, providers, and clinical staff. This role serves as the primary point of contact for telehealth session setup, troubleshooting, and follow-up, while ensuring compliance with all privacy and security regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee telehealth appointments, ensuring smooth operations from scheduling to completion.
- Provide advanced technical support for telehealth platforms, equipment, and software.
- Train healthcare providers, staff, and patients on telehealth technology and workflows.
- Develop and maintain telehealth policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor telehealth system performance and troubleshoot connectivity or equipment issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with IT, clinical, and administrative teams to improve telehealth efficiency and patient satisfaction.

• Prioritize workload and meet deadlines, develop and carry-out assignments in an efficient and timely manner, provide accurate and succinct documentation of activities.

· Support telemedicine/telehealth activities with internal and external stakeholders.
· Exercise tact, courtesy and diplomacy when dealing with individuals at any level. Engage, support, and educate stakeholders within telemedicine/telehealth programs using age & developmentally appropriate tactics.
· Triage incoming telephone calls and appropriately manage each call by obtaining adequate information to make a proper telemedicine/telehealth referral and scheduled teleconsultation when appropriate
· Schedule appointments, set-up and test equipment for telemedicine/telehealth engagement, reconcile telemedicine/telehealth applications to maintain accuracy across electronic medical record.

**Qualifications:**
· HS Diploma/GED (Required)
· 3+ years of experience in a medical environment preferred and experience with patient teaching a plus.
· Associates or Bachelor's preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
