**Work Environment**

**Job Description**
**POSITION SUMMARY and SCOPE**
The technician's job is to ensure the smooth running of the production system and to maintain equipment for which they are responsible in a specified condition.

We are looking to hire an Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the daily operations of the facility. Areas of responsibility include Vacuum Deposition Chambers, Optical Fabrication equipment, and support equipment / systems. Activities include performing preventative maintenance for the areas and high priority must be used to address any line down situations. + Ordering and keeping inventory of all necessary parts required for Preventive Maintenance program as well as for some other parts for emergency repair.
+ Properly maintain and document all equipment logs and files.

**Responsibilities**
**THIS IS A ROTATING, 12 HOUR NIGHT POSITION FROM 7:00PM - 7:00AM, INCLUDING EVERY OTHER WEEKEND.**

+ Install, alter, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical molding equipment, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC system when needed.

+ Assist with any other tasks asked of you when needed in order to be a team player and help out wherever you may be needed.

Equipment Technicians are responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment in their assigned area. We work in partnership with Shift Operations team members, area equipment engineers, and tool vendors. We provide the foundation to introduce some of the most sophisticated memory and storage technology to the world! We supervise tool performance, schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets, and use mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills to resolve equipment issues.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process
+ Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
+ Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
+ Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required
+ May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Flexible with job responsibilities and shift assignments including night shift
+ Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off) with the need to stand the entire shift and lift equipment
+ Basic understanding of SPC principles
+ Knowledge of AC/DC and Digital Electronics circuits, including fundamentals of electricity, basic electronic components and circuit analysis
+ Knowledge of algebraic concepts, data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent military/industry experience.
+ Basic knowledge of semiconductor equipment and manufacturing processes, along with knowledge of AC/DC circuits, electronic components, and basic electronics theory. Understanding of statistical process control (SPC) principles and their application.

THE ROLE:

As an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will spend your day diagnosing and repairing machines such as production assembly systems, press systems, hydraulic, electrical, CNC, and pneumatic equipment. You will identify and inspect machines in need of repair, plan repair work using blueprints or equipment manuals, and perform general maintenance that does not require specialized technicians. These tasks will include cleaning or changing filters, cleaning cooling coils, topping off fluids, completing preventative maintenance on equipment, repairing drywall, painting, fixing doors and other building fixtures, and changing lights, electrical outlets, and switches. You will also clean machinery and work areas after repairs, input minor maintenance data into computer programs, and assist the Lead Technician when needed.

All that you need is:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year(s) of experience with CNC machining centers, mills, lathes, or EDMs
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings
• Knowledge of control I/O cards, axis motors, spindles, encoders, and press hydraulics
• Mechanical experience in machine tool alignment, installing linear guides, ball screws, saddles, and slides, and laser positioning adjustments
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building repairs
• Ability to use hand or power tools, forklifts, scissor lifts, and man lifts (on-the-job training provided if necessary)
• Ability to climb ladders, bend, crawl into awkward spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to work with oils, solvents, minor dust, as well as wear all required PPE
