Our Purpose

The Teradyne Product Development team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and technically driven software architect that can play a critical role in understanding and designing complex software systems and solutions for our products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver these solutions that enable our customers to be successful with our product portfolio. Opportunity Overview

• Orchestrate the design and development of software solutions, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Work closely with system engineers, software engineers, hardware engineers, product managers, and other teams to ensure integration and alignment of system requirements.

• Guide development teams on proper development and best practices.

• Evaluate and apply new technologies, tools, and techniques to improve system performance, software reliability, and team productivity.

• Prepare clear and detailed technical documentation for developed software, system architectures, and processes.

• Develop, debug, and deploy software solutions that will be used in larger test solutions for semiconductor devices on Teradyne ATE test systems (HW and SW).

• Develop customer relations at a technical level.

• Collect customer technical needs and requests, communicate to internal engineering team to develop new solutions for customer.

• Partner with our worldwide application teams to coordinate project development and on time delivery of critical project milestones.

All About You

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical E ngineering or related field.

• 15+ years of experience in SW development.

• Conceive and implement fully functional and high performing C++, C#, .NET and software OO solutions.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale software systems, preferably in a hardware/software integrated environment.

• Experience with CI/CD processes, version control, and agile methodologies.

• Familiarity with tools like Git, Jenkins etc. for Software development and testing.

• Proficient in Visual Studio 2019 (or later) or equivalent.

• Proficient with gcc, Linux development tools and embedded Linux is an advantage

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with a cross-functional team and mentor junior staff.

• Experience in semiconductor production testing and debugging is a big advantage.

• Exceptional problem solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving complex issues.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Able to handle dynamic work environment with pressure and quick changes.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this role is $202,700 - $324,400. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Opportunity overview

• Perform qualification/design validation testing on new products; work with engineers to assist with validation prior to product being released into production.

• Test Execution and debug complex PCBAs and High-Level Assemblies to board level and, occasionally, to component level.

• Identify, analyzes, document, and communicate all issues encountered during execution of test processes.

• Analyze test log files

• Ability to solve problems through creative and analytical thinking

• Identify root causes and pursue corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of faults.

• Work closely with Client Test and NPI groups to obtain resolutions to issues encountered.

• Documenting, troubleshooting and isolating moderate to complex problems

• Participate in SW qualification plans and report bugs that could impact performance

• Ability to work independently on time bound projects.

• Knowledge of both analog and digital circuits and experience with component-level debug of PCB assemblies.

• Knowledge of Windows, Client Office, Adobe Reader, understanding BOMs, Revision controls, and ECO's is preferred

• Knowledge of six sigma, lean manufacturing, 5S practices, Quality Control problem solving tools and PCBA manufacturing problem is a plus.

• Experience with RF products is a plus

The Teradyne Firmware Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, technically driven Embedded Firmware Engineer to focus on the development of software systems for Embedded products within the Integrated System Test Unit. This individual will report directly to the Firmware Engineering Manager. Our Embedded Software development tasks consist of writing and maintaining software that presents a programmatic interface to the low-level hardware of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). The software is intended to control the hardware and interface to systems and class structures that will be loaded to the ATE. The code that is developed will interface to hardware directly and through firmware. It will also provide a more generalized interface up to user-level software. Come be part of our team!

All About You

• 10+ years' experience.

• SLT Serial Scan Knowledge

• Conceive and implement fully functional and high performing C# and C++ software OO solutions.

• Develop embedded systems on microcontrollers/embedded processors.

• Debug system and board level modules through the software toolset, working closely with hardware and firmware engineers.

• Experience developing and debugging multithreaded applications.

• Experience coding on both Linux and Windows. Proficient in Visual Studio 2015 (or later) or equivalent.

• Experience with Git Source Control Management.

• Comfort with all of the following technologies: SPI buses, I2C buses, PID control, fixed point math, async/syncserial bus, DDR, memory, FPGA buses.

• Experience with Intel and ARM architectures.

• Experience modifying and maintaining Linux Kernel, root file system, uBoot, device drivers and cross compilation tools.

• Familiarity with code analysis tools like Valgrind, Coverity.

• Minimum BS degree in EE, CS, Computer Engineering or equivalent

Basic Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor or higher degree in electronic/computer engineering or related fields or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor testing industry.

• Hands-on ATE experience with Teradyne platforms such as UltraFlex, Flex, J750, Magnum, Maverik, or similar systems.

• General understanding of ATE industry trends as well as competitive products and product positioning will be a plus

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Strong presentation and interpersonal abilities.

• Strong problem-solving and judgment skills.

• Possess team skills and has ability to work independently

• Ability to work with customer and international teams

• Excellent judgment and problem solving skills

• Willingness for international travel up to 25%

Compensation?

• The base salary range for this role is$156,300-$250,000?This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

• Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
