Opportunity Overview
The Teradyne Hardware Engineering team is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic, technically driven Calibration Engineer to focus on the development of hardware/SW systems & algorithms for products within the Compute Test division. Development occurs in a dynamic and challenging multi-site development environment. This person will report directly to the Engineering Manager.
+ Develop calibration programs and embedded algorithms for Digital, DC, AC & RF instrument calibration in the ATE equipment using C/C++/C# and Python.
+ Develop a calibration strategy doc to define the HW circuits needed to allow the instrument meet it's accuracy specifications using knowledge in low level analog and digital circuits in automated test equipment.
+ Participate in the development of HW error budget and offline & online validation of these error terms using statistical analysis techniques to identify specification and process compliance.
+ Develop offline and online tests to validate instrument calibration and HW performance through simulations using VERILOG and SPICE.
+ Debug problems identified by the calibration program and work with a cross functional team to implement corrective action.
+ Develop programs to incorporate external measurement equipment as part of the calibration or validation programs using DMM, spectrum analyzers and power meters.

The Quality Engineering (QE) Team is responsible for assessing quality at all states of the Software Development Life Cycle so that Teradyne maintains its quality leadership in the Automated Test Equipment (ATE) industry.

The Software Quality Engineer is an integral member of the QE team, using and developing automated tests for Teradyne's flagship software products, as well as working with various in-house tools and industry leading digital and analog hardware.

The Teradyne Quality Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, software engineer who will work collaboratively with the test and development teams as well as independently to determine and develop imaginative, thorough, and practical testing solutions.

• Reviewing system, hardware, software and user interface requirements documentation

• Planning, designing, creating, executing, and automating tests focused on proving our products meet stringent requirements

• System and user-focused testing that extends beyond the written requirements of the product

• Enhancing in-house tools to make test creation more efficient and effective.

• Managing defects in the defect tracking database to report, track, manage, and resolve issues found during product verification.

• Interacts with software and hardware engineering teams, working closely with Software Development Engineering to prepare and continually manage a test strategy for defect assessment, peer reviews, test coverage analysis, and various levels of system integration tests.

• Participate in customer account, Teradyne engineering, Applications, and Marketing teams to understand key business and technical requirements.

• Analyze problems and recommend solutions on Teradyne ATE platform to optimize customer throughput and performance

• Work directly with engineering field teams to understand and improve test process; make recommendations to improve quality of test coverage.

• Develop shared knowledge in the form of application solutions and test techniques.

• This position may require some amount of travel (10 - 25%) to customer sites to support beta testing and transition teams.

Senior Software Architect - Next Generation Platform

Join Teradyne’s next-generation software development initiative as we architect and build a new system that will transform automated test equipment (ATE) software for the Cloud AI era. This role offers the unique opportunity to design a modular, multi-process system with asynchronous messaging that will enable true multi-threaded test execution and role-based workflows for semiconductor testing.

• Assist in the architectural design and technical direction for Teradyne’s next-generation software, a distributed, multi-process architecture. Develop comprehensive system architecture specifications that address performance, scalability, and cross-platform compatibility requirements for Windows and Linux deployments.

• Collaborate with test engineering SMEs, product managers, and customers to validate architectural concepts and ensure market-driven design choices. Partner with external consultants and technology vendors to leverage industry best practices in distributed systems, containerization, and AI agent integration.

• Mentor development teams in modern software engineering practices, cross-platform development, and asynchronous programming paradigms. Sustain technical excellence by establishing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices that enable rapid iteration and deployment

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience in enterprise software architecture and development

Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Calibration Development Engineering Manager to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of calibration algorithms for all family of instruments in SOC test systems. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of test equipment used in product validation and manufacturing environments.
Leadership & Strategy
+ Lead a team of calibration engineers (HW/SW) in developing and executing calibration plans for digital, DC and AC/RF instruments.
+ Define and implement calibration strategies aligned with instrument targets & industry standards (e.g., ISO, NIST).
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HW, SW, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure calibration processes support product and system requirements.
Technical Development
+ Design and develop automated calibration Algorithms.
+ Oversee the integration of calibration routines into IG-XL software and the Maintenance environment in C#.
+ Continuously improve calibration workflows to enhance accuracy, reduce downtime, and increase throughput.
+ Analyze calibration data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
+ Implement predictive maintenance and statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
Team Development
+ Mentor and develop engineering staff through training, performance reviews, and career development planning.

+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, With strong background in SW development.
+ 10+ years of experience in HW/SW engineering development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
