The Software Engineering team in North Reading is looking for an experienced Software Engineer with passion for learning, developing high quality software, solving complex problems and becoming part of a smart and innovative team. Commodity Manager
A challenging opportunity exists within our Operations team for a professional with focus on supply chain management.
The Senior Commodity Manager will be a key member of the Supply Base Management group with direct responsibility for influencing supplier selection during the development process and ensuring the supply of material and support from the supply base is delivered through all phases of the Teradyne's product life cycle. This role will lead the supplier selection process, drive supplier related initiatives including large scale cost down projects, lead qualification and on-going assessment of the supply base as well as focus on the strategic approach to commodity and supplier issues. This position will identify, develop, and maintain technical and strategic relationships with key suppliers.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
+ Lead the component and supplier selection process for new products.
+ Provide leadership and coordination in the management of supply base during the new product development process.
+ Drive large scale cost reduction initiatives.
+ Ensure supply base is aligned with company technology needs. Develop relationships with key vendors and maintain awareness of trends in wafer fabrication, wafer probe, packaging and production test.
+ Establish and maintain appropriate inventory levels throughout the supply chain for ASICs and other Highly Critical IC's.:

+ Provide strategic leadership and management of suppliers to achieve best in class performance for the following key strategic initiatives:
+ Price/Cost - Assure best cost structure and define cost reduction initiatives and metrics for all phases of the business: design, production, and repair
+ Quality - Drive implementation of established supplier quality-related initiatives that include initial quality and long term MTBF goals for the supplier

The Teradyne Firmware Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, technically driven Embedded Firmware Engineer to focus on the development of software systems for Embedded products within the Integrated System Test Unit. This individual will report directly to the Firmware Engineering Manager. Our Embedded Software development tasks consist of writing and maintaining software that presents a programmatic interface to the low-level hardware of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). The software is intended to control the hardware and interface to systems and class structures that will be loaded to the ATE.   • 10+ years' experience.

  • SLT Serial Scan Knowledge

  • Conceive and implement fully functional and high performing C# and C++ software OO solutions.

  • Develop embedded systems on microcontrollers/embedded processors.

  • Debug system and board level modules through the software toolset, working closely with hardware and firmware engineers.

  • Experience developing and debugging multithreaded applications.

  • Experience coding on both Linux and Windows. Proficient in Visual Studio 2015 (or later) or equivalent.

  • Experience with Git Source Control Management.

We're hiring a Senior UX Designer to help us design intuitive, efficient tools for test engineers working on advanced technologies. You'll be part of a collaborative UX team focused on improving how engineers interact with our Automated Test Equipment (ATE) software.
We're looking for someone who's confident designing in complex technical spaces, with strong interaction and visual design skills, and a thoughtful, user-centered approach.
+ Design usable, engaging, and visually appealing desktop and web applications

Opportunity overview
We are seeking a senior NPI Manufacturing Engineer to join our North Reading, MA team. As a Senior NPI Manufacturing Engineer, you will be integral to all facets of our new product development through the process development, ergonomics, jigs/fixtures and equipment design and tooling.
You will work directly with operations, design engineers and management to carry out the following. Ownership of the Manufacturing "Design for X" (DFX) reviews with Design Engineering through the New Product Introduction process
+ Define and develop manufacturing process specifications and production workflows.
+ Develop and implement new procedures Humanize production equipment though ergonomic and safety considerations
+ Develop Manufacturing Strategies for both in-house and outsourced production.
+ Own all manufacturing fixture designs, including all fixture design-related validations, builds, documentation, and handoff to high volume production
+ Provide capital equipment investment assessment for manufacturing processes
+ Conduct capacity planning for process resources and
+ Study and implement facility layouts to optimize for effective workflow
+ Creating and Implementing Engineering Change Notices to update BOMs and drawings
+ Monitor and drive quality improvements internally and with suppliers
+ Implement best practices for production procedures to improve efficiency, repeatability, and compliance
+ Develop and deliver training programs for assembly personnel, ensuring adherence to manufacturing best practices and quality standards.
+ Spearhead and effectively close-out process and procedure improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure consistency.
+ Act as a mentor and coach to less-experienced manufacturing engineering team members
