Key responsibilities:

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Automotive Technology or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an automotive technician, with at least 2 years specializing in electric vehicles.
- ASE certifications (A1-A8, L1, L3) highly desirable.
- Expertise in diagnosing and repairing high-voltage EV systems.
- Proficiency with OEM diagnostic software and scan tools.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

The EVDD Business Operations Manager within the EV, Digital & Design (EVDD) organization is a critical role designed to oversee organizational processes, budgets, forecasts, and operations to drive operational productivity, cost efficiencies, and ensure optimal business performance of non-personnel budget delivery. This position will work closely with each EVDD skill team operations leaders to ensure smooth, consistent day-to-day operations across the global organization, effective financial forecast management, enable a streamlined approach to order placement and deliver continuous improvement of business processes. The EVDD Operations Manager will report to the Director of EVDD Business Operations and maintain close cross-functional collaboration to ensure consistent operational practices and excellence in organizational performance. This role will not be engaged in resource management and headcount.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, process improvement, and data-driven decision making - particularly in complex technical environments. They are detail-oriented, analytical, and possess excellent project management skills. + EVDD Operations is currently undergoing a significant transformation that includes modernizing multiple processes and how we work as an organization.
+ In this position, you will drive the execution rigor of the EVDD operations focused on non-personnel expenses as well as manage business operations of a 10,000 plus global team.
+ You will lead a small team of highly skilled, self-motivated, experienced and networked individuals, serving as the architects of ongoing operations facilitating continuous improvement.
+ This role will also support the Director of EVDD Operations to help set up and implement an efficient operations process to support the global team and streamline operations management. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned leader with strong organization, governance, financial management, communication and people leadership skills to support this transformation.
**What you'll do.**
Organizational Efficiency
+ Develop, implement, and maintain operational systems, processes, and policies that promote organizational efficiency and productivity focused on Non-Personnel expenses (Purchase Service, Material, ED&T, Capital, Travel, etc.)
+ Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce unwarranted costs
+ Maintain ongoing communications to ensure proper operations within function, consistent with EVDD processes
+ Collaborate with skill team operation leads to ensure operational activities align with strategic objectives
Financial Management
+ Responsible for governance, execution and oversight of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for all EVDD function non-personnel expenses
+ Partner with finance to deliver a robust, data-driven forecast by skill team with action plan
+ Manage data collection; monitor and analyze key budget metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce costs, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service to function
+ Identify cost-saving opportunities, eliminate organizational redundancy, and implement measures to optimize purchase service utilization
+ Manage and support procurement of Purchased Services and other supplier engagements critical for technical delivery
+ Oversee EVDD capital budget and process
Data and Analytics
+ Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular reports and insights to leadership
+ Support executive level reporting of EVDD delivery health, risk, progress, and value delivered based on insights derived from financial metrics
+ Conduct data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential issues
+ Provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making processes
Cross-functional Collaboration
+ Work closely with other business units, including Finance, Supply Chain, and IT, to ensure alignment and efficient operations
+ Collaborate with other Business Operations Leads within Ford to share best practices and maintain consistency across functions
+ Strengthen the organization's process discipline through education & communication
+ Streamline all processes by increasing self-service and data transparency
**What you'll have.**
+ **Bachelor's degree required,** advanced degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field a plus
+ **7+ years** of experience in **operations management** , preferably in software, automotive, or related industries
+ **2+ years** of program or **project management** , with experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
