Overview

Senior Test Equipment Technician (MMAC- ):

Bowhead seeks to network with a Senior Test Equipment Technician for an upcoming proposal effort in Oklahoma City, OK. If awarded the contract provider is to supply test equipment maintenance and calibration support for the National Airspace System (NAS), and to other government agencies in accordance with terms outlined in interagency agreements and service orders.

Responsibilities

Job duties to include but not limited to:
  • Lead and perform high-level calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting for specialized test equipment.
  • Select, modify, set up, calibrate, install, and operate precision measurement equipment, including specialized test stations and mockups.
  • Develop new calibration methods when not specified or well-established.
  • Maintain and transfer the integrity of calibration reference standards to working standards.
  • Utilize computer systems and software to manage calibration recalls, maintain detailed records, and document work activities.
  • Provide expert-level support in troubleshooting complex metrology issues and developing solutions.
  • Assist in training and mentoring lower-level technicians.

Qualifications
  • Precision Measurement Equipment (PME) certification from a Military Technical School, OR Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Electronics, OR Certified PME training record
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in metrology, calibration, and repair of complex test equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of metrology principles, calibration standards, and quality control processes.
  • Ability to develop and implement new calibration methods.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing specialized and unconventional test equipment.
  • Experience maintaining calibration reference standards and ensuring compliance with FAA, ISO-9001/IEC 17025, and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 standards.
  • Strong proficiency in metrology software, documentation systems, and calibration tracking.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

Job Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain housekeeping of warehouse to meet safety standards and follow all safety guidelines

  • Perform visual, electrical, mechanical, electronic inspection of tools, report and flag any non-compliant items

  • Test all generator components on large electrical equipment

  • Troubleshoot and repair damaged electrical components and equipment as well as preventative maintenance

  • Read line drawings for repair and troubleshooting activities and electrical codes

  • Follow Standard Maintenance Protocols, tasks and adhere to site safety, quality, company, and government requirements

  • Repair and maintain test and industrial equipment and perform quality hand solder repair to the board or component level

  • Willingness to be on call for emergency equipment troubleshooting

  • Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure that each generator toolkit has the proper tools needed.

  • Coordinate, label, and package all generator tooling needed for each outage project.

  • Quality assurance check each kit before shipping to make sure there is a kit template and a calibration certificate enclosed if necessary.

  • Timely completion of kit assembly to meet tool center schedule requirements

  • Ensure that kits are delivered with no quality issues (missing parts or non-working parts).

  • Review inventory of tools returned from site to ensure all items are accounted for as outlined in inventory sheets

  • Clean, reorganize, and relabel all returned toolkits

  • Create and submit restock requests for replacement parts and tools.

  • Complete required, annual safety training

  • Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments

You will work closely with TE Site Leaders, Internal customers, and industrial partners. You will support various Test Equipment efforts at the Tucson facility.
Test Equipment Quality Engineering (TEQE) ensures program execution in accordance with RTX's Quality Management System, which is based on AS9100/ISO 9001. In addition, TEQE supports Raytheon's Quality Policy with an emphasis on Quality Excellence, Customer Satisfaction and Continual Improvement. Our scope includes participation in Peer Reviews and formal inspections of work products as defined in Program Planning Documentation. We are a required member of the Release and Change Control Boards. We support reviews of plans and procedures, design reviews, test plans and reports, software inspections, software code reviews, test and sale readiness reviews, participating in continuous improvement initiatives, customer interface and gate reviews.

**What You Will Do** :
+ Provide Quality Engineering assistance for the Test Manufacturing organization consisting of 40 Planners and 40 Assembly, Test and Inspection technicians.
+ Ensure Program Quality is aware of build-related issues that might impact program risk.
+ Provide defect disposition if the criteria are ambiguous or subject to interpretation.
+ Monthly TE metrics preparation.
+ Maintain the Lien and Administrative Closure systems.
+ Work with key Build-to-Print suppliers in defect resolution and reduction efforts.
+ Manage Q-Notes in EMMS (Engineering Manufacturing Management System).
