**This position requires full-time work onsite in either our Linthicum, MD OR Annapolis Junction, MD facilities.**
What You'll Get to Do
This is a dual-role manager/digital test execution lead role. Management duties include supporting, developing, and tasking engineering staff; developing engineering process; and providing resources to meet program needs. The manager will also perform technical work on programs. The split between technical and functional management duties will be approximately 80% technical /20% functional, on average. The direct program work may include test execution, technical leadership, or other direct support of a program.
Roles and responsibilities include some or all the following:
+ Lead a team of 6-10 technical staff in management role. Administrative management responsibilities include staffing, performance and compensation management, and career development.
+ Execute in a technical leadership role overseeing the execution of test systems for a digital test team. Responsible for translating requirements into executable test plans.
+ Establish methods for test execution, tracking of test metrics, and engagement with product and engineering discipline leads for communication and continuous improvement.
+ Responsible for labor and material execution through cost account management (CAM) assignments.
+ Partner with program management to track execution and provide technical leadership to the team.
+ Ensure proper engineering processes and procedures are followed.
+ Work with peers and training leads to identify critical skill shortfalls; develop appropriate technical training; and improve team performance.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM related) degree with 5+ years' relevant experience; Master of Science degree in STEM related field with 3 years of relevant experience; PhD in STEM related field with 1 year of relevant experience.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Weapons Engineering Verification & Validation Division (V) is seeking an R&D Manager 4 to serve as Group Leader of the Weapons Test Execution Group (V-21). As a Quality Assurance Lead within PNC's Lending Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, Miamisburg, OH, Columbus, OH, Jacksonville, FL, Birmingham, AL, Dallas, TX, or Philadelphia, PA. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion.
As a Quality Assurance Lead, you will be part of an Agile team who is responsible for coding, testing, and verifying the quality of automated applications to identify errors and solutions in software. In this role, you will develop automated systems for processes that have yet to be automated. Additionally, you will be responsible for executing test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures, identifying, analyzing, and documenting problems with program function, output, online screen or content and testing system modifications to prepare for implementation. Specific job responsibilities may include the following:
- Participation in daily stand up meetings
- Weekly planning sessions
- Working closely with the development team, that consists of scrum masters, business analysts, developers, and automation test engineers
- Expected to have input into user stories
- Helping to develop testing criteria
- Build new test automation capabilities to drive automation testing
- Enhance automation testing scripts that are already in place
- Mentoring junior testers and driving test direction
Due to the nature of the position, we are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- Experience mentoring junior testers and driving test direction
- Hands on experience with test automation and execution
- DevOps (containers, CI/CD pipelines)
- Strong experience in automation user interface testing
- API testing
- Selenium
- Cucumber
- QFaaS
- Karate
- Highly skilled in development using Java and JavaScript
- Hands on experience with Jira or comparable testing documentation repositories

**Job Description**
+ Operating in a global delivery model, brings strategic direction to testing and acts as the subject matter expert for both the quality discipline and a line of business domain(s).
+ Leads the review of testing artifacts throughout the product life-cycle to ensure appropriate sign off and prioritization of testing work. Including coordinating test strategy, scripting and defect resolution.
+ Including ensuring early engagement with internal partners and proactive planning to ensure quality is a core area of focus early in the product lifecycle.
+ Take accountability for quality standards in the development, implementation and upkeep test scripts and opportunities for automation of testing products.
+ Developing meaningful management metrics that help to gauge project health. Identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement in product release.
