About the Role
As a Product Testing Technician, you'll perform analytical testing on raw materials and finished products to support product development and quality assurance. You'll collect data, follow test procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Hoffmaster continues delivering innovative, high-quality products.

- Perform testing on raw materials and finished goods
- Follow test procedures and document accurate results

- Assist in complaint investigations and new product trials

What We're Looking For

POSITION SUMMARY:
Reliably set-up and perform gas stand, engine dynamometer, special testing, and other benchwork. Complete engineering reports, present data to Engineering, as well as other lab duties.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Read and understand instructions and secure the necessary procedure(s), work instruction(s), or specification(s) to complete Engineering/Customer requests (GEMS Tickets).
- Reads engineering prints and can measure hardware utilizing the proper measurement tools and techniques.

- Demonstrates basic understanding and knowledge of measurements, temperatures, pressures, and frequencies. Able to convert measurements, temperatures, pressures, and frequencies to other units of measure, or scale.
- Performs performance, burst and containment, durability, and mechanical qualification testing on gas stands, and engine stands.
- Completes component level qualification testing such as blade frequency measurements and fatigue testing.
- Gathers, processes, interprets, and distributes customer data. Effectively communicates customer testing results in a timely manner.
- Completes logbooks, testing notes, and other related records as required per Engineering requests, work instructions, procedures, or specifications.

We are looking for a Testing Technician to join our team.
The Testing Technician is responsible for the day-to-day calibration and troubleshooting of instruments. The successful candidate must independently coordinate the order and priority of instruments to be calibrated / troubleshot based on current open sales order lists and / or production schedules. This person will also become the process owner and will cross-train others as required. This person will document calibration results and will work cross-functionally with other departments to resolve issues that may arise.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Hands-On calibration technician responsible for the forward production flow of all systems spanning the entire product line, duct.
- Manage the workflow for 2 products in conjunction with the production schedule
- Cross Training of additional technician resources as required
- Process ownership for Instrument calibration and quality output result
- Provide timely and accurate feedback to the Manufacturing Engineering and Sustaining Engineering groups for collective analysis and trend identification
- Other related duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with experience calibrating complex products and sub-assemblies.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must have demonstrated ability to read and follow assembly and test procedures
- Microsoft Office Suite expertise
- Must have effective cross functional communications skills
- Familiarity with yield and parametric data collection and presentation

Job Description
The Testing Technician will be responsible for the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of production products, specifically focusing on Newmar and Dura Comm branded products. This role requires the installation of firmware and rigorous testing of equipment, including analog, digital, video, and logic circuits.
Responsibilities+ Perform testing on equipment such as analog, digital, video, logic circuits, components, and instruments. + Measure power, signal, and temperature accurately. + Review test results with staff and make recommendations on repair, maintenance, and refinement of equipment. + Conduct production-line testing and troubleshooting to the component level. + Install firmware for Dura Comm branded products. + Understand and work with electronic components, including resistors, capacitors, and transformers. + Operate basic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, current clamps, and Hi-Pot machines. + Read schematics and troubleshoot circuit boards and units to the component level. + Perform soldering and crimping tasks with precision.
Essential Skills+ Proficiency in reading schematics and troubleshooting circuit boards. + Experience with testing and troubleshooting electronic components such as transformers, diodes, and transistors. + Skillful in using oscilloscopes, Hi-Pot machines, DMMs, and clamps. + 3-5 years of experience in testing electrical components. + Ability to handle high-volume testing for production panels, including bench testing and calibration.
Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Experience in writing SOPs for quality standards. + Work under minimal supervision. + Handle complex issues and problems independently. + Possess comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter. + Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to others.
