The Testing Technician is responsible for supporting dielectric testing processes with a focus on product safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management. This part-time role requires approximately 20 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours based on operational needs.

• Associate's degree in an engineering related field is preferred or related education and experience in an automotive technical field or certification from an Airframe and Powerplant technical school.
• Willing to consider in lieu of degree: Equivalent mechanical powertrain experience in the automotive industry (in-depth engine work including tear down, reassembly, measurement, and dynamometer testing) if coupled with a minimum of 2 years of relevant R&D or technical lab testing experience.
• Experience in general machining and fabrication, including basic welding.
• Experience in professional automotive components test environment (powertrain systems, lab or R&D) is desired. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is a must, combined with ability and willingness to complete both on the job and other formal training as required.
• Must be proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical and engineering drawings.
• Experienced and knowledgeable in the proper use of indicators, micrometers and dial calipers and other related equipment.

We are looking for a Testing Technician to join our team.

The Testing Technician is responsible for the day-to-day calibration and troubleshooting of instruments. The successful candidate must independently coordinate the order and priority of instruments to be calibrated / troubleshot based on current open sales order lists and / or production schedules. This person will also become the process owner and will cross-train others as required.
