As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking, you will be a seasoned member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your role involves implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and execute performance testing strategies and load testing scenarios for transaction authorization workflows on the Chase Debit Platform.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and test plans using specialized performance tools such as JMeter and BlazeMeter.
  • Measure, analyze, and report on key performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for tuning system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, operations, and cloud infrastructure, to diagnose issues and optimize application performance.
  • Utilize SQL and tools like DBeaver to validate data consistency and analyze system logs for performance insights.
  • Monitor live system performance using AWS Monitoring tools including CloudWatch, and proactively recommend scalability and stability improvements.
  • Stay updated on advancements in performance engineering technology and methodologies, including the adoption of Gen AI tools like CoPilot for process improvement and automation.
  • Produce detailed performance engineering artifacts, including test reports, metrics dashboards, and process documentation to support continuous improvement.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Proven experience in performance testing and tuning within a large-scale enterprise environment
  • Proficiency with performance testing frameworks and tools (JMeter, BlazeMeter)
  • Strong command of SQL with hands-on experience using query tools like DBeaver
  • Familiarity with cloud performance monitoring, particularly AWS Monitoring and CloudWatch
  • Deep understanding of performance metrics, system load, and capacity planning in high-transaction environments
  • Excellent analytical skills with proactive approach to problem-solving and system optimization
  • Ability to work collaboratively in Agile teams and communicate complex findings clearly

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience working with large financial platforms, ideally in transaction processing or debit systems
  • Familiarity with Gen AI tools (such as CoPilot) to augment performance testing and reporting processes
  • Exposure to modern DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines within a financial or technology-driven setting
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure best practices and familiarity with other AWS services

**This Opportunity**
WSP's Engineered Construction team is growing, and we have an opportunity for a **Roadway Testing Technician III (RTT)** in **Atlanta, GA** to perform field inspections and observations for commercial, industrial, and transportation related construction projects. We are seeking experienced construction engineering inspectors with RTT, ACI (or acceptable GDOT equivalent) and other certifications.
Your Impact
+ Perform testing on general building sites and facilities
+ Interpret project plans and specifications for compliance with projects requirements
+ Perform soil density testing using both nuclear gauge and sand cone in accordance with ASTM and project specifications on site at commercial construction projects
+ Perform sampling and testing of concrete in accordance with ASTM and project specifications
+ Prepare and submit written field reports summarizing daily activities/observations and density calculations and results
+ Observe proof rolls, undercut operations, perform footing inspections with dynamic cone penetrometer, and inspect rebar
+ Test and work in accordance with Company safety policies
+ Monitor work procedures for compliance with project specifications
+ Interact with client representative (supervisors, foremen, project managers, engineers, etc.) at project sites
+ Perform analysis or calculations to check accuracy, applicability and reasonableness of testing data
**Who You Are**
**Required Qualifications**
+ Valid Roadway Testing Technician (RTT) Certification
+ Valid GDOT concrete and/or ACI Field Concrete Testing certifications.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Minimum 7 years related experience
+ Valid Driver's License
+ Reliability - must be able to arrive at designated project sites prior to scheduled times
+ Ability to prepare reports and documentation
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Basic knowledge of Excel
+ Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required
+ Must pass physical, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ 7 year+ Construction Materials Testing experience either on commercial projects or on transportation construction projects
+ Recent graduate with BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
+ ACI Field Level I certification (concrete sampling and field testing) or equivalent.
+ ICC and/or NICET certifications for Concrete, steel, bolting, soil/earthwork, asphalt, wood, fire
+ NACE Coatings inspection certification
+ Troxler or equivalent certification
+ Ability to evaluate soil subgrade prior to placement of fill and perform standard soil Proctor and moisture checks
+ Ability to read and understand site grading drawings
+ Other GDOT certifications
**Physical Demands**
+ Physical examination required to obtain medical clearance to work
+ Ability to stoop, kneel and to routinely lift and carry 50 pounds
+ Clean driving record and capable of being insured for driving company vehicles
+ Able to work in variable outside conditions, including extreme heat or cold
