The Manufacturing Textile Engineer will provide technical leadership and engineering support in textile-based manufacturing processes for medical devices. This role will contribute to sustaining engineering initiatives, continuous improvement, and new product introductions by leveraging expertise in textile materials, processing, and characterization. The engineer will interface cross-functionally to ensure processes meet quality, cost, and performance targets.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Plan, coordinate, and execute manufacturing engineering projects related to textile components.
+ Partner with technicians and operators to improve textile manufacturing processes, including knitting, weaving, coating, and finishing.
+ Document setup and troubleshooting procedures to support efficient textile equipment operation.
+ Develop and validate manufacturing processes (IQ/OQ/PQ) for textile-based products.
+ Lead DOE, process characterizations, and cost reduction initiatives for textile operations.
+ Interface with product development, quality, procurement, and operations teams to align design and manufacturing goals.
+ Provide technical input in design reviews focused on textile components and assemblies.
+ Support new vendor qualification for textile materials and manage tooling/fixture development.
+ Participate in root cause investigations for textile-related complaints and drive corrective/preventive actions.
+ Ensure compliance with GMPs, ISO standards, and the site's quality management system.
+ Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to optimize textile manufacturing workflows.
+ Drive documentation improvements, equipment relocations, and preventative maintenance strategies.
+ Contribute to operator training and validation documentation related to textile operations.
+ Ensure accurate process documentation and labor standard maintenance for textile processes.
**Education and/ or Experience Required:**
+ BS degree in Textile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field required.
+ Experience with textile or flexible composite manufacturing
+ Strong knowledge of textile materials, processing (e.g., knitting, weaving, heat setting), and testing.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead projects and cross-functional teams in a regulated environment.
+ Familiarity with process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), GMPs, and risk management tools.
+ Demonstrated proficiency with tooling and design, machinery, assembly fixtures, equipment and tooling procurement and design.
