ABOUT UCPIE:
United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire (UCPIE) is a 501 (c) (3) organization incorporated in 1985. UCPIE is an affiliate of over 60 national United Cerebral Palsy organizations providing services to people with developmental disabilities beyond cerebral palsy. UCPIE provides programs and services in the Inland Empire in both Riverside and San Bernardino counties. UCPIE’s mission is to advance the independence, productivity, and full citizenship of people with disabilities. Services provided are for individuals diagnosed with cerebral palsy, autism, down syndrome, epilepsy, intellectual delay, and other disabilities.
BASIC FUNCTION:
The Respite worker will provide intermittent, regular scheduled, temporary care, and or supervision for a mutual client of Inland Regional Center and United Cerebral Palsy who resides with a family member or care provider.
This position is for the area of La Quinta.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Provide responsible care so that family stability may be restored or maintained in families with
developmentally disabled members. - Work a minimum of two hours at each respite appointment.
- Follow instructions for the care of clients/consumers and siblings as outlined by parent(s)/guardian(s).
- Assist client/consumer(s) in areas of feeding, dressing, toileting, bathing, grooming, light meal
preparation, etc., as needed. - Use safety precautions at all times when providing care to clients/consumer(s) and siblings.
- Report suspected incidents of abuse to the Respite Program Manager & complete the required
documentation. - Never leave a client(s)/ consumer(s)/ siblings unattended.
- Maintain certification of CPR and First Aid at all times, current copies to be on file in office.
- Adhere to policies and procedures in the employee handbook and respite fundamental training manual.
- Adhere to UCPIE’s Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and all other applicable safety procedures.
- Report any changes in personal information to the respite program manager immediately.
- Complete and submit time cards, mileage, reports, etc., using UCPIE timekeeping and case management software.
- Complete client daily notes and submit to UCPIE administrative offices as instructed by the respite
program manager. - Maintain current information on emergency call forms and submit copy to UCPIE office.
- Return phone calls to the UCPIE administrative team within 24 hours or immediately if an emergency message is received.
- Do not transport client(s) or siblings at any time.
- Continue education through training modules, workshops, annual UCPIE in-house training, etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires community driving and visiting families in a variety of home settings.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: The employee must have the ability to lift, pull, push, run, and manipulate/use adaptive equipment and patients, which requires strength and gross motor and fine motor coordination. The employee must be able to perform CPR and administer First-Aid. The position requires sitting and/or standing for long periods of time (2 to 8 hours per shift). The position requires the ability to operate an automobile and a computer. The employee must be able to climb stairs and provide services in the family’s home environment.
TRAVEL
This job requires daily travel to the client’s home; note travel will not exceed 40 miles unless approved by the Respite Program Manager.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1. High school diploma, GED certificate
2. 2 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (experience can be caring for a family member with a disability)
3. Strong written and oral communication skills
4. Computer proficient
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
1. CPR & First Aide Certification
2. Clean TB test every 4 years
3. Valid Driver’s License
4. Valid vehicle registration

- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging; explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.

- Assist with Medical Assistant duties to ensure optimal patient flow.

ABOUT YOU
- Active MD, DO, NP or PA license, board certified or board eligible; family, IM/Peds or emergency medicine.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in ER, urgent care or similar setting.
- Ability to consult and treat patients of all ages.
- 1+ year leading others in a healthcare setting.
- Understanding of financial statements and HR business processes.
- Active listener that uses soft skills to build and maintain trusting relationships at all levels of the organization.

The Clinic Medical Director acts with an owners mindset, cultivating new ideas for driving business performance by leading the clinic team, managing financial outcomes, and supporting patient retention and growth through effective operations and direct patient care.
WHAT YOULL DO
Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging; explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff
Prepare images for reading by Radiologist
Assist with Medical Assistant duties to ensure optimal patient flow
Attend staff and departmental meetings
Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests
Proposes improvements to processes and workflows
Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.
ABOUT YOU
Active MD, DO, NP or PA license, board certified or board eligible; family, IM/Peds or emergency medicine
Minimum 2 years of experience in ER, urgent care or similar setting
Ability to consult and treat patients of all ages
1+ year leading others in a healthcare setting
Understanding of financial statements and HR business processes
Active listener that uses soft skills to build and maintain trusting relationships at all levels of the organization
Excellent communication and interpersonal, time management, planning, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Hourly rates range from $75/hr - $5/hr depending on level of experience. FT salary range of 117,000 - 132,600 for a 30hr work week. There is also a lucrative RVU Program and a monthly stipend for the CMD role.

Yoga Teacher for Yoga & Sculpt Studios in La Quinta and Palm Desert .
Our yoga teachers are dedicated to their growth, taking their teaching to the next level, and are part of an amazing group of teachers that is changing lives. Following the YogaSix methodology, and teaching in a way that is easy for everyone to follow and understand, our teachers thrive in a community environment and are committed to guiding classes that are empowering, energizing, and fun. In addition, yoga teachers are hired as employees (not independent contractors), and we invest in their development and growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Methodology & Teaching
- Teach yoga classes and private or semi-private training as scheduled, pursuant to Company standards.
- Have a strong understanding of YogaSix core formats, as well as distinguishing features between formats.
- Participate with Lead Teacher in class audits and reviews to ensure compliance with Company standards.
- Connect with each member and create a class experience that shows individual personality.
- Create dynamic sequences for non-set formats (Y6 101, Slow Flow, Restore, Power, Sculpt & Flow) that maintain the safety of members.
- Make it fun – teach with authentic expression, playing supportive music that reflects class intention.
- Community Building & Teamwork
- Be present physically and mentally for the pre- and post-class connections with members.
- Be a team player, and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workers.
- Brand Ambassador
- Adhere to Yoga Six Core Values and uphold the Core Values with all Team Members.
- Assist the General Manager and sales team in answering prospective member questions and closing membership sales.
- Studio Operations
- Attend staff meetings and required education presentations.
- Maintain a clean and safe club during shift by assisting with cleaning tasks as directed by General Manager or Company policies.
- Follow all procedures established by the Company to operate the studio in accordance with government health directives and guidelines.
- Assist General Manager and Wellness Advisors as needed
- Maintain a positive, upbeat attitude; promote and exemplify Company values, and represent Company objectives and interests to internal and external customers.
- Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
- Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The candidate must live within driving distance of our studios in La Quinta and Palm Desert, CA. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience
- Minimum 200 hr Certified Yoga Teacher
- Minimum 1 year teaching experience
- Interest in evolving skills as a teacher and knowledge of various styles
Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities
- Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the telephone, and via email
- Spanish language skills are also desirable
- Professional, punctual, reliable and neat
- Able to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients and the general public
- Able to stay calm at all times and act respectfully and professionally
Other Required Licenses/Certifications
- Current CPR training and certification

Compensation: Hourly rates vary based on experience/ability/formats.
