**Responsibilities :**
+ Lead the WDT Technical Team providing performance coaching, recognition, and discipline
+ Oversee the daily operation of all WDT technical and stage elements
+ Partner with Stage Manager to perform emergency abbreviated shows
+ Partner with Entertainment Leadership Teams regarding emergency abbreviated shows, load ins/outs, new show installs, Cast changeovers, equipment tests, vendor support, movie premieres, company events and safety responsibilities
+ Provide support services for all Walt Disney Theater events including production shows, variety acts, concerts, and activities
+ Schedule the WDT Technical Team
+ Set/strike, oversee and run Senior Show Tracks for all WDT shows
+ Manage preventative maintenance schedules and routine repairs of WDT technical equipment
+ Maintain stock control and associated documentation for WDT show consumables
+ Lead department meetings
**Basic Qualifications :**
+ Minimum five year experience in a technical role within a theatrical operation
+ Experience leading a theater Tech team regarding daily responsibilities, performance, scheduling and development
+ Expertise with standard theatrical practices in a musical theater environment
+ Can work at heights with heavy equipment and in environments that have second-hand smoke, pyrotechnics, chemical smoke, haze, fog, dry ice, and other special effects
+ Experience with Audio Visual and Projection systems, Automation Desks, Stunt Rigging Equipment and Body Harnesses, preferred

+ Be genuinely interested in a career at sea and willing to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel

+ Be willing to uphold the general safety management responsibilities as specified in the Safety Management System in areas and operations under their control
+ If applicable, be willing to share a confined cabin with other crew members and appreciative of working and living in a multicultural environment that has strict rules and regulations

+ Have a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this)
+ Complete a pre-employment medical
+ Obtain a criminal background check
+ Bring approved work shoes

Job Description
The Character Craftworker will be responsible for helping bring our characters to life. The Character Craftworker will have an artistic paint background, a good eye for colors, and an aptitude for working with their hands. The Character Craftworker is passionate about the Disney brand and enjoys working on a team. Candidates must have a basic understanding of liquid measurements and mixing, and have excellent hand eye coordination. Candidates must be able to wear cartridge respirator and air-supplied hoods. Must wear safety eye protection, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes at all times in the shop. Candidates must be able to follow work plans and work to an allocated schedule.
**The pay rate for this role in Florida is $22.00 per hour.**

+ Create and repair character heads and accessories
+ Working with multiple mediums
+ Safely operate small scale machines such as rotomold and vacuum form machines as well as utilize a variety of hand tools
+ Painting with a variety of techniques such as spray painting, airbrushing, and line work
**Basic Qualifications :**
+ Knowledge of spraying and mixing of water based, urethane and acrythane paints
+ Proven work experience with line painting, airbrushing, spray guns, priming, and clear coats
+ Experience with assembly and precision trimming of urethane and fiberglass
+ Familiar and competent with tools such as dremels, sanders, rivet guns, drills, and other tools as needed
+ Previous experience with a variety of fabrics and processes such as gluing, following patterns, and cutting
+ Enthusiastic about team work and collaboration
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
