Registered Nurse - Adolescent Mental Health

• Salary Range: $5 to 42 per hour, based on relevant years of experience
• Location: Fort Collins, Colorado at our Longview Campus
• Status: Full-time days and nights positions available, all including eligibility for program/shift differentials
• Hours: 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts

Employees working at locations operating 24/7 earn a differential. Shift differentials are also available for evenings, nights ( 7 per hour), weekends, and holidays.

Overview:

As a Registered Nurse in Adolescent Mental Health, you will provide specialized care for adolescents aged 12-17 facing mental health challenges. Working in our Adolescent Crisis Stabilization Unit, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, treat, and support young patients dealing with conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and trauma-related disorders. This role emphasizes building relationships with young patients and their families while fostering emotional well-being and recovery.

Essential Duties:

• Conduct clinical assessments and identify problems while documenting significant interactions and maintaining clinical charts.
• Provide prescribed medical treatments and personal care services for patients.
• Administer medications and monitor clients for side effects.
• Coordinate and consult with team members regarding medical care and interventions.
• Develop and implement a medication administration system.
• Screen and evaluate lab reports, referring any abnormalities to the provider.
• Audit medications and maintain compliance with state regulations.
• Educate clients on medications.
• Document progress notes on therapy and medications and report any medication errors.

Required:

• Unencumbered Colorado license as a registered nurse

Highly Desired:

• Experience working specifically with adolescents
• 1-year experience in a behavioral health setting
• Bilingual/bi-cultural candidates preferred
