Job Description

Position Summary

The Associate / Licensed Therapist will provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients served under our various mental health programs. This therapist will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans, provide crisis intervention, ensure client progress, and support the mission of our agency. This position may be filled at the Associate level (for those working toward licensure) or the Licensed level (fully credentialed), depending on candidate background and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments, diagnostics, and develop individualized treatment plans in alignment with best practices and our clinical standards.
  • Provide psychotherapy services (individual, family, group) to children, youth, adults, or families, depending on program assignment.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate groups (e.g. trauma, substance use, domestic violence, wraparound support).
  • Work within our mental health, wraparound, FYSUD, DVSS, or CAPIT programs as assigned, adjusting modalities as needed.
  • Collaborate with case managers, social workers, medical providers, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed; ensure safety planning when clients present with risk.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, assessments) compliant with regulatory, funder, and licensing requirements.
  • Participate in supervision (for Associate level staff), training, and professional development.
  • Monitor and report on outcomes, client progress, and program metrics.

Qualifications

ssociate Therapist
  • Master's degree (or above) in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, or related field.
  • Currently pursuing licensure; eligible to register as an Associate in California (e.g. AMFT, ACSW, etc.).
  • Prior experience (1-2 years) working in mental health settings, especially with children, families, or trauma, preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse, multicultural populations.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
  • bility to work flexible hours, including evenings as needed depending on client and program needs.
Licensed Therapist
  • Valid and active licensure in California as LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, Psychologist, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of post-licensure clinical experience in mental health services.
  • Strong clinical skills: assessment, diagnosis, evidence-based treatment modalities (trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, etc.).
  • Experience supervising or mentoring associate level clinicians is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in multi-disciplinary teams and adapting to multiple program structures (e.g. wraparound, DVSS).

Position Details:

Eisner Health is seeking an experienced Therapist to join our professional team! The Bilingual Therapist provides individuals and group psychotherapy as a licensed or waivered clinician. The therapist will develop and execute appropriate treatment plans, and provide services under the ethical and clinical guidelines of best practice for their discipline. The responsibilities of this position, may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintains appropriate training requirement to meet specific requirements to achieve/maintain professional license and/or certification.
  • Provides individual and family psychotherapy. Provides services within clinic or other appropriate site, as needed.
  • Provides treatment according to any evidence-based practices for which they have been trained.
  • Develops treatment plans to ensure client progress and evaluate on an ongoing basis.
  • Provides linkage and advocacy to ensure that the client and family have access to services that will help achieve treatment goals.
  • If practicing using and evidence-based practice, ensures fidelity to the model.
  • Maintains thorough treatment records in a timely manner according to the requirements of client’s funding source.
  • Follows all quality assurance guidelines and ethical/legal guidelines.
  • Participates in weekly staff meetings and case presentations.
  • Meets productivity expectations as set by Clinic Director.
  • Be available to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of clients and the department.
  • Participates in individual supervision as required depending upon licensure.
  • If unlicensed and working under the supervision of a licensed professional, therapist must keep supervisor informed of all crisis situations, updated on all clinical cases, and follow direction of supervisor
  • Assumes other responsibilities as assigned by Clinic Director.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Possess a Masters in Social Work or Psychology
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
  • Must have some experience working with children and families in a clinical setting
  • Previous experience working with diverse populations desirable
  • Knowledge of DMH paperwork is highly desirable.
  • Experience providing Trauma- Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, MAP or Triple P parenting highly desirable.
  • Must be licensed or waivered as an MFT, LCSW, ASW, MFTI, or Ph.D. with the Board of Behavioral Science or Board of Psychology.
