You will be responsible for developing innovative thermal solutions for complex electro-mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability under demanding conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the design, analysis, and optimization of thermal management systems for advanced electronic and mechanical products.
  • Conduct complex thermal simulations and analyses using tools like ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar to predict temperature distributions, heat transfer rates, and airflow patterns.
  • Develop and validate thermal models through experimental testing and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, firmware, and product management, to define thermal requirements and integrate solutions.
  • Lead the selection of appropriate thermal components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, analysis reports, test procedures, and manufacturing guidelines.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies in thermal management and heat transfer.
  • Contribute to strategic product roadmaps and innovation initiatives related to thermal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve challenging thermal issues in existing and new product designs.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field with a specialization in thermodynamics or heat transfer.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, with a significant focus on thermal design and analysis of electronic systems.
  • Proven expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA) specifically for thermal applications.
  • Proficiency with thermal simulation software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, ICEPAK, COMSOL, STAR-CCM+).
  • Experience with thermal test equipment and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of heat transfer principles, including conduction, convection, and radiation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects from conception through production.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Experience working in a remote team environment and a proven ability to manage tasks independently.
