About the Role

We are seeking a Third-Party Software Product Manager to become the internal expert on the external software solutions that power our business. This role sits at the intersection of product management, systems integration, and business enablement. You will take ownership of the third-party systems we rely on, understanding their features in depth and ensuring they are leveraged to their fullest potential. You'll work closely with business users, software engineers, and internal product teams to design streamlined, automated, and efficient workflows that integrate these tools with our in-house platform. Key Responsibilities

  • Own the relationship and roadmap for key third-party software platforms used across the organization.
  • Become the internal expert and super-user on each third-party system's capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and end-users to maximize utility and adoption of external software solutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers to avoid unnecessary internal development by leveraging existing vendor functionality.

Contributions

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, and deploy modular micro-services and cloud-based systems

  • Understand the needs of stakeholders and convey this to other developers

  • Write and debug code for innovative software solutions

  • Troubleshoot software quality, security and reliability issues

  • Participate in code reviews and quality assurance activities

  • Automate unit and functional tests

  • Test and examine code written by others and analyzing results

Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance

  • BS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experience

  • 8 Years of experience with one Ruby; other programming languages (Java, react, C++, C) a plus

  • 8 Years of experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket

  • 8 Years of experience with one or more programming or scripting languages (Python, Bash, JavaScript)

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance

  • 5 Years of experience with one or more clouds (I.e. AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • 5 Years of experience using CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Pipelines, CircleCI, TravisCI

  • Experience implementing docker containers and utilizing platforms such as Kubernetes

  • Experience implementing Automated Testing frameworks including unit testing

Leidos Civil Transportation Solutions is seeking a Software Development Engineer who will be part of a dynamic team working on the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), En-Route Automation Modernization ERAM) technology, which is the heart of the Next Generation Air Transportation System and the pulse of the National Airspace System NextGen Air Traffic program. The Support Software team is the specific team with in ERAM that the software developer will work in. Support Software which encompasses EDEV and ESCM is responsible for scripts and code that support the entire ERAM software development community.

Primary Responsibilities:

The functions under Support Software include:

  • Developing and maintaining code in support of the ERAM Software Development community spanning but not limited to the following languages: Python, Korn Shell, PERL, Java, and Visual Basic.

  • GNAT Ada Compiler customization

  • Testing of new GNAT Ada Compiler candidates

  • Modification of ERAM SDDs

  • Software process guidance to junior team members

  • Windchill customization

  • Inspection moderation

  • Rollout and maintenance of the Hybrid Development Environment a synchronization between Atlassian Tools, Git, and Dimensions enabling ERAM software developers to conduct parallel development

  • CAS Integration Concepts ERAM Tools Development

  • Maintenance of the C Types Dictionary Tooling application

  • Refactoring the Types Dictionary Tooling application

  • IBM DOORS administration

  • IBM DOORS DXL coding

  • Coordinate Solutions with stakeholders

  • CAS Integration Concepts ERAM Tools Development

  • Provide teaching / mentoring to junior levels

  • Collaborate with team members across multiple areas

  • Other software development related duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proficient programming skills

  • US Citizenship required.

  • Candidate must be able to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.

  • At least 2 years of experience using Python, KornShell, C/C++.

  • Exposure working with Perl, Java, DXL, Visual Basic, Ada, C#

  • Experience with Windchill which includes programmatically automating Windchill.

  • Experience automating Windchill to Word output using Visual Basic

  • Experience with DWARF and ELF compiler object file formats

  • Able to coordinate with external stakeholders and represent team status

  • Able to moderate inspections

  • Familiarity with GNAT compiler customization and integration

  • Familiarity with libmake

  • Prior DOORS experience

  • Prior DXL experience

Preferred Qualifications:
