A Day in the Life:

The Impact You'll Make:

  • Analyze transportation data to identify trends and inefficiencies. Ensure data being analyzed and presented is accurate.
  • Manage freight lane data within Transportation Management Systems (TMS) system and lead process for setting up new lanes in TMS as needed. Use knowledge and skills to find solutions to minimize disruptions.
  • Interact with various internal department personnel, country managers, external customers and freight facilitators to ensure data integrity, accuracy and address customer issues.
  • Manage daily, weekly, monthly, annual transportation reporting for data analysis. Analyze data and design new deployment models as needed and based on data analysis, work with management to optimize carrier selection, lanes, and call out data that does not align with current Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Schedule container bookings to fulfill customer finished goods orders and/or production planning of raw material needs, as well as coordinating the shipment of Premium and Apparel commodities.
  • Maintain container log to track shipments accurately so that trigger dates for inventory movement and billing are reported accurately.
  • Provide necessary information and documentation to warehouses and freight forwarders to effectively coordinate the timely loading of shipments and prepare necessary shipping documents or work with customer service personnel to ensure that all customs clearance requirements are met.
  • Coordinate prepayment of customs clearance fees and assist in procuring bids on shipping lanes.
  • Effectively communicate with various internal departments to ensure product availability, adherence to quality control guidelines and packaging standards and ensure that required shipping documents are on file and maintained for the specified audit requirement period.
Who You Are :
  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of -- Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field
  • Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in transportation, warehouse, or inventory management
  • Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in creating and presenting high level reports of data analysis.
  • Computer Skills Desired: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Intermediate SQL experience. Experience with Business
  • Intelligence Software such as Power BI & Tableau. Other experience with BI software a plus. SAP experience preferred.

The CX Compliance team is essential in ensuring that our global CX Compliance Operations function efficiently, comply with regulatory requirements, and consistently deliver high-quality resolutions. As an Analyst, Compliance TMS Operations within the CX Compliance team, you will be responsible for conducting end-to-end Transaction Monitoring investigations for customers (individuals/entities) that may lead to drafting and filing a SAR. You will work extensively with functional leaders in the Financial Crime Risk Service line and support functions to maintain production and quality of the highest standard. You will work independently, prioritizing multiple tasks with minimal guidance, and remain open to feedback from all levels to drive continuous improvement in compliance handling.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in financial services, crypto, investigations, legal, or the tech industry, with a focus on TMS, compliance, or regulatory matters.
  • Relevant experience in SAR narrative drafting and filing
  • Conduct investigative review and analysis in support of company’s BSA/AML regulatory compliance policies and programs including investigating automated alerts from our transaction monitoring systems, and referrals sourced from law enforcement requests and other company lines of business
  • Analyze transaction activity and KYC information and conduct due diligence research in support of investigations as well as interpret evidence from external tools and systems to determine the legitimacy of customer behavior across multiple products
  • Document investigations in written narratives
  • Decide whether activity warrants escalation for additional review and subsequently recommend whether activity appears suspicious and warrants filing of a suspicious activity report
  • Incorporate feedback from Quality Assurance Team
  • Maintain detailed documentation to demonstrate compliance with regulations and internal policies and procedures

What you’ll be doing:

  • Duties will be split 50/50 between US Escalations investigations casework and Subject Matter Expert work, to include leadership support as directed.

Subject Matter Expert Work and TL Support (50%):

  • Serve as internal Subject Matter Expert for Coinbase’s end-to-end transaction monitoring (TMS) operations, assisting teammates with substantive questions about process or procedure. Build strong relationships with Compliance partners and provide clear guidance to your team to resolve subjectivity in case resolution. Encourage knowledge sharing, ongoing training, and collaboration.
  • Provide assistance to team managers in areas such as: queue management and team communication
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) across TMS to find opportunities for improvement, including conducting deep dives on critical errors surfaced through QC and QA processes. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Update processes and improve feedback loops and communications channels. 
  • Coordinate with CX Programs to contribute to and lead projects to improve processes and procedures across TMS. Execute identified corrective actions and monitor implementation. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop specific corrective actions and conduct necessary testing.

Investigations Casework (50%):

  • Investigate AML and fraud-related alerting transaction on the blockchain; write and/or file Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR)
  • Conduct investigative review and analysis in support of Coinbase’s BSA/AML regulatory compliance policies and program including investigating automated alerts from our transaction monitoring systems, and referrals sourced from law enforcement requests and other Coinbase lines of business

  • Duties will be split 50/50 between US Escalations investigations casework and Subject Matter Expert work, to include leadership support as directed.

Subject Matter Expert Work and TL Support (50%):

  • Serve as internal Subject Matter Expert for Coinbase’s end-to-end transaction monitoring (TMS) operations, assisting teammates with substantive questions about process or procedure. * ACAMS or other professional certification related to AML, Fraud, and/or blockchain/crypto investigation (not required, but a major plus)
* Minimum 5 years professional experience and 3 years relevant compliance experience (conducting AML/Fraud investigations, SARs preparation and filing)
* Experience working in a fast paced production environment with competing priorities and shifting procedural requirements with an emphasis on production and quality
* Experience in project management and/or team leadership
* Working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines (e.g., BSA, OFAC, FinCEN guidance)
* Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communications (verbal and written) skills
* Excellent grasp of English grammar and strong English language writing skills
*Nice to haves:*
* Proficient in Google Suite and blockchain analysis (e.g. Chainalysis)
*Note: This role requires full-time, in-office presence at our Charlotte location. In order to support the 24/7 nature of cryptocurrency, shifts may include weekend and night.*

Pay Range:
$99,365-$99,365 USD
