**The Job:**
The Tooling Buyer/Planner plans and orders tooling based on customer due dates and production schedules.
As a Tooling Buyer/Planner, you'll be part of our Aerospace team working as an onsite employee. You'll get to:
+ Develop and maintain tool usage forecasts based on production schedules
+ Manage tool inventories, track tool locations, and ensure timely replenishment.
+ Work with engineering, production, and other teams to determine tooling requirements and resolve issues.
+ Coordinate with the engineering department to update and maintain tool drawings.

The Tool Design Engineer will develop manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes. Actively participates with engineering project teams in order to coordinate the release of new products. Design manufacturing tooling for the production of solid fuel rocket motors and warheads. Develop jigs, fixtures, lifting devices, and semi-automated equipment to cast and assemble the final product. Design major components or major portions of a functional system to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations. Utilizes CAD equipment to develop basic data and make preliminary layouts, sketches and notes necessary to present design proposals. Investigates and makes decisions regarding pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, contractual specification requirements and cost.
