We are seeking a dedicated Tooling Technician to join our team, responsible for completing assembly according to process specifications, resident planning, and blueprints for various programs.
Responsibilities- Verify that all parts are included with assemblies and ensure tooling is correct.
- Fill out appropriate log sheets and clock in and off each job.
- Inspect for close tolerance and install fasteners, components, bushings, etc. per tool design requirements.
- Call for final inspection and complete paperwork per the work order for each completed process.
- Seek guidance and direction as necessary for performance duties.
- Keep the supervisor informed about the status of work being performed and potential problems as early as possible.
- Report to work on time each day, after lunch, and not leave early.
- Maintain the work area in a neat and orderly manner.
- Maintain a well-groomed appearance appropriate for the position and situation.
- Respect the confidentiality of the company, customer, and personnel information.
- Perform other duties and tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on tooling experience preferred.
- Experience with layup and bagging preferred.
- Ability to use applicable measurement instruments.
- Capability to read and interpret job orders.
- Blueprint reading class recommended.
- Ability to understand and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

We're seeking a Tooling Technician to join our production team. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in precision workmanship.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the construction and finishing of plugs, glass master parts, and production molds that form the foundation for our boats
- Apply knowledge of fiberglass, bonding techniques, and resin systems using precision instruments, hand tools, power tools, and production equipment
- Perform fiberglass layup by patting and pressing layers of saturated mat/cloth into molds using brushes or hands
- Mix and apply resins and catalysts, inspecting completed tooling for quality and defects
- Trim, repair, and modify fiberglass tooling components, ensuring accuracy and durability
- Block, sand, and fair surfaces to create smooth, balanced, and production-ready mold finishes
- Knowledge of fiberglass materials, resin systems, bonding techniques, and surface preparation methods used in mold construction
- Understanding of chemical composition, safe handling, and proper disposal of resins, catalysts, and other composite materials
- Previous experience in fiberglass tooling or lamination preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce precise, high-quality surfaces
- Good time management skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Comfort working cautiously and efficiently in environments with fumes, dust, vibration, and noise
- Work is performed in a manufacturing setting with regular exposure to fiberglass dust, resins, fumes, and loud noise
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, protective suits, dust masks, and respirators is required
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods, with occasional sitting, climbing, kneeling, or crouching

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Die Cast Rotor and Maintenance Departments to facilitate the fabrication and repair of equipment
tooling.
- Execute in-house fabrication and repair procedures to ensure seamless adherence to delivery timelines, fostering
customer satisfaction.
- Safeguard operational continuity by maintaining in-house service capabilities, mitigating potential downtime risks and preserving production schedules.
- Uphold the imperative of timely order fulfillment by averting disruptions in the manufacturing process.
- High School Diploma required; college-level machining classes preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD/SolidWorks, and BUS/SAP is desirable.
- 2-5 years of machining and welding experience required. Familiarity with lean manufacturing, gating, thermal and mold design, and flow simulations is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proven track record in project management preferred. Ability to read, interpret, and edit technical drawings.
- Team-oriented with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Must be adaptable to new technologies and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Job Description
This position involves the repair of molds, jigs, fixtures, and other tooling equipment used in plastic injection molds and assembly of plastic products. The tooling technician will work within a team of four.
Responsibilities

Train personnel in the proper use of equipment.

Read blueprints and use measuring instruments and mathematics to build repair parts for broken molds, jigs, and fixtures.

Maintain adequate repair supplies, such as core and ejector pins, die springs, and other materials related to repairs.

Modify molds, jigs, and fixtures to correct problems.

Inspect and verify changes made by outside mold making vendors to ensure compliance with standards and specifications detailed in purchase and engineering change orders.

Perform skilled work involving close tolerances beyond the competence level of a tool cleaner.

Maintain records of all repairs, modifications, and inventory performed.
