Job Duties
Provides day-to-day technical supervision of testing personnel ensuring the proper performance of all laboratory procedures and report of test results. Promotes standardization through collaboration and coordination within a specialty.
+ Performs technical duties and provides technical knowledge and support to staff and clients within a department of responsibility.
+ Analyzes technical problems and resolves in accordance with established laboratory policies.
+ Reviews test results, quality control records, proficiency testing results and preventative maintenance records.
+ Ensures that remedial actions are taken whenever test systems and Quality Assurance deviate from established performance specifications.
+ Collaborates the planning of capital purchases and leases with the appropriate section Doctoral Director and Operations Director.
+ Participates with the Director and other system colleagues in the development of new testing, validation and evaluation of new equipment, reagents, instrumentation and technologies.
+ Maintains a working knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and ensures that compliance of standards is maintained.
+ Participates in the analysis of cost for materials and negotiation of contracts to obtain favorable prices.
+ Responsible for section purchasing, receiving, and inventory management to reduce costs.
+ Accepts responsibility for effective cost accounting and cost management.
+ Maintains adequate supply inventory.
+ Participates in and coordinates the development of policy and procedure manuals with doctoral director and system colleagues.
+ Assures timely and regular review of procedure manuals.
+ Provides orientation to all new employees and identifies training needs and ensures that employees receive appropriate in-service training and education for their job responsibilities.
+ Continually evaluates monitors and documents the performance of competency of each employee.
+ Participates in annual performance appraisals.
+ Collaborates with their specialty specific colleagues at other lab locations to assure standardization system-wide.

**Who We Are**
We are a motivated team that conducts transdisciplinary research exploring factors linked with health and risk behavior in regard to recreational and medicinal Cannabis use, anxiety, pain management, memory, and cognition. This position is well suited for a Ph.D. graduate pursuing a research career in cognitive science, psychology, neuroscience, translational human participant research, or other clinical or biomedical research.
**What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be**
Expected responsibilities:
+ We seek a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate to aid with NIH-funded studies, including ERP studies of acute influences of THC and CBD on memory encoding and retrieval processes and clinical trials focused on biobehavioral health outcomes, such as substance use, pain, anxiety, sleep, and immune markers.
+ Primary responsibilities include the supervision, design, implementation, analysis, and publication of EEG and clinically relevant data.
+ The postdoctoral research associate will be responsible for coordinating with the Pl and investigative team in order to manage the collection of behavioral and biological data, correspondence with the IRB regarding updates and amendments to relevant protocols, and supervision and training of research staff.
+ The postdoctoral research associate will work closely with the PI to ensure data quality control and the assurance of data safety and monitoring, and in this role will assist the PI to conduct quarterly meetings with the external Data Safety and Monitoring Board.
+ Support for grant writing, data management and analysis, and manuscript preparation will also be expected.
+ Specifically, it is expected that the postdoctoral research associate will take a lead role in analyzing data, preparing data for presentation at professional conferences, and will collaborate with the PI and Co-Investigators to submit manuscripts for publication.

Research Scientist Responsibilities:
1. Perform research and develop solutions to computer software and computer hardware problems.
2. Research, design, and develop new optimization algorithms and techniques to improve the efficiency and performance of Meta's platforms.

20. 6. Performing research that enables learning the semantics of data (images, video, text, audio, or other modalities) and advances the technology of intelligent machines
21. 7. Devising better data-driven models of human behavior
22. 8. Developing highly scalable classifiers and tools leveraging machine learning, statistics, regression, rules-based models, or mathematical models
