Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to manage the day to day activities, coordination, and analysis of various RoRo Trades Lanes ex US and other regions such as South America, Middle East, and Asia destinations. - Collect and approve final load lists upon vessel sailings
- Create/Update voyage calculator to be used for P/L reporting
- Maintain Trade Database to include all exported volumes by lane
- Customer and Space Charter Freight Invoice Issuance and Settlement
- Market monitoring and analysis
- Coordinate vessel space based on contractual commitments, forecasts, and liaise with Operations regarding vessel stow.
- Communicate available vessel space & vessel closures with Sales & Customer Service team
- Assist in managing/reviewing upcoming contracts
- Run various reports, statistics and analysis
- Troubleshoot any unexpected issues or problems that may arise
- Work with all departments for continuous improvement and business development ideas

Main Purpose of the Role:
Execute the commercial strategy as defined by management, broking it down into actionable items by countries within the trade scope. Implement competitive tariffs aligned with the market conditions, respond to rate requests and tenders and ensure deadlines are accomplished. The Trade Analyst is responsible for the daily activities of trade management, deduction management, and collection of accounts receivable. What will this position do?
- Generate and submit invoices to customers via Electronic Data Interchange and email.

What You'll do
As an International Trade Analyst, you will be overseeing and directing the shipment of international products, through establishing logistics networks and solutions that provide inbound transportation at optimal service levels and cost.
- Coordinate and oversee ocean import services for international goods.

What you'll do as a Software Engineer on the Trading Strategies Team at Akuna:
Akuna is looking for Software Engineers who are excited to apply their skills to low latency trading. Working directly with Traders and Researchers, you will focus on analysis, design, implementation, testing and delivery of Akuna's strategies to the market. Your goal is to develop software that incorporates vast amounts of data to drive sophisticated, ultra-fast strategies, capturing market opportunities before our competition. In this role, you will:
- Lead in the design, implementation, and deployment of trading strategies using modern C++ technologies
- Bring deep technical knowledge in areas such as parallel programming, trading systems, networking, and performance analysis
- Be extremely hands-on, producing both detailed technical work and high-level architectural designs
- Have leadership opportunities across both project and team management
- Build software using Agile methodologies and modern software best practices
- Work directly with Traders and Researchers to create and enhance high performance, low latency trading strategies
- 3+ years of experience developing performant, scalable applications in modern C++14 and beyond
- Experience developing trading strategies and/or a demonstrated passion for financial markets
- Experience using data to drive decision-making
- Significant experience with distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms
- Solid understanding of multi-threaded/multi-core programming paradigms
- Highly collaborative in nature, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or equivalent
- The ability to react quickly and accurately to rapidly changing market conditions, including the ability to quickly and accurately respond and/or solve math and coding problems are essential functions of the role

In accordance with Illinois Equal Pay Act, the minimum base salary starts at $130,000. Exact compensation offered may vary based on many factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, and skill set.
