Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems/ Business Analyst for our Trade Finance technology solutions team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge software solutions that enhance our Trade Finance offerings. Your expertise in Commercial banking Products, Payment processing, Loan products, and industry standards (such as T360 from vendor CGI Inc.) will be critical in driving innovation and ensuring seamless customer experiences.

The Systems Analyst will participate in development and maintenance efforts for Trade Finance Application. The candidate must have experience working as a Business Analyst in a functional team and working with Business to get the requirements and provide information to the systems development team. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background to understand and support different technical teams to support applications. The candidate must have a financial background, preferably Trade Finance expertise with T360 Application from CGI Inc. Must have knowledge of relational database for creating queries and extracting data and knows Business Objects. Experience as a Scrum master is a plus. The candidate should be able to work cooperatively with cross-functional teams with minimal direction from senior management. The individual offers excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate, document, and analyze complex user business processes and requirements.

  • Analyze current business processes, build current process model diagrams and make recommendations on changes to improve processes.

  • Build design documents based on meetings, JAD sessions or other requirements gathering tools, with developers and end-users.

  • Leads in defining the user requirements and making sure they are addressed in application implementation.

  • Influences business users in redefining the business processes to maximize application usage as required. Recommends "builds" only for differentiation.

  • Perform data analysis, profiling, and validation of new data sources, involving loans, deposits, and other security related data.

  • Integrate with the Data Management Office to ensure continuity and consistency of data integrity and data quality across all Finance technology platforms and solutions.

  • Create systems test plans and then ultimately perform system testing for assigned change requests, tax updates and patch bundles/upgrades.

  • Provide functional support to the technical team in systems development and act as a liaison between end users and the technical team members.

  • Lead in testing new or modified systems. Work with the QA team in conducting multiple levels of testing from stress, performance, and standard application testing. This includes running SQL to test database updates.

  • Creating project documentation for waterfall projects. (Business Requirement Document, Functional and Detail Design Document, Project execution document, etc.

  • Creating stories for technical teams to work on and create backlog stories for future developments.

  • Conduct needs analyses and requirements assessments, assess technical viability of products/technology, contribute to development of business cases, and consult and make recommendations on technical solutions to meet specific business requirements.

  • Consult on database development, database transaction management, and application integration for various systems or platforms.

  • Test, debug, and/or oversee the testing and validation of applications to ensure that quality and functionality are in line with the requirements, as well as industry standards and protocols.

  • Deliver projects that adhere to continuous delivery practices with automated unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing pipelines.

  • Troubleshoot issues and problems, comes up with clear action plan(s) to resolve such issues, develops, tests and implements the agreed solution into production.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in building and maintaining Trade Finance solutions, including payment processing, L/C issuance, and transaction management.

  • Solid understanding in Commercial banking Products

  • Experience with T360 or any Trade Finance application with Trade Finance products expertise.

  • Understanding of Application and Technical Solution Architecture

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Prior experience in Trade financial services, banking, or fintech.

  • Application development experience on data platforms, leveraging structured query language (SQL), extract-transform-load (ETL) tools, and object-oriented languages (Java, Python, C#) is a Plus.

  • Experience managing teams in Agile environments.

  • General understanding of UI design principles and best practices

As an Associate in the Treasury Management Fulfillment organization within Commercial Bank, you will be part of the Standby Letter of Credit Operations team within the Trade Finance organization. This team is responsible for the end-to-end execution of core activities supporting Standby Letter of Credit Operations, including managing front office interactions.

As an Associate within the Commercial Bank’s Treasury Management Fulfillment - Trade Finance organization, your team will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of core activities supporting the Trade Finance suite of products. This team’s core responsibility is managing the end-to-end execution of Standby Letters of Credit, including the management of front office activities. Interested applicants should expect to work in a dynamic environment that bridges international business, baking operations and risk management. This position involves supporting global trade transactions by reviewing and processing Standby Letters of Credit and related instruments while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards. In addition, applicants should expect to service clients who transact with both domestic and international parties. Due to the regulatory, financial, and operational risks associated with letters of credit, this is a fast-paced, back-office operational environment. Candidates should demonstrate a high degree of ownership, attention to detail, critical thinking, and risk management in executing daily and monthly tasks. This opportunity offers exposure to international markets, practical problem solving and the chance to build expertise in financial products that drive global commerce.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage front office operational activities including; receiving, processing, and scanning incoming and outgoing Trade Finance correspondence and assigning items for processing

  • Support the Letter of Credit process including; issuance, amendments, discrepancies, documents and payments.

  • Assist the Standby Letter of Credit team with discovery calls

  • Conduct quality assurance and general system testing

  • Prepare metric reports for internal audit, accounting, regulatory, counterparty risk teams, and external/partner banks

  • Review and confirm compliance with Trade Finance Services controls

  • Develop and manage business artifacts, including; desktop procedures, job aids, checklists, and other departmental resources or training materials

  • Liaise with Value Chain partners such as; Product Intent, Tech, Legal, etc. in support of Trade Finance transactions

  • Monitor core system performance, report and escalate outages, and manage remediation efforts

  • Provide support for ad hoc organizational projects

  • Actively participate in ongoing SBLC training

The ideal candidate will :

**Job Summary:**
As a Collateral Analyst you'll support the Commodity & Structured Trade Finance business line in all aspects of transaction / collateral management, administration of credit facilities and risk analysis. The primary responsibilities include maintaining a portfolio of committed and uncommitted credits by coordinating with relationship managers, portfolio managers, product partners and operations departments to facilitate the booking of credit facilities and execution of daily financing activities (loans, LCs, payments, receivable purchases, bills of exchange discounting, etc.), and managing related risks through ongoing analysis and monitoring of the bank's collateral.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Daily interaction with clients, relationship managers, portfolio managers, trade service operations, loan operations, and other internal departments as required.
+ Monitor transactional and related collateral to ensure client positions are within approved limits.
+ Review borrowing / LC / payment / receivable purchase requests, and coordinate with back/middle office for the execution of transactions. Address a borrower's inquiries.
+ Review term sheets, draft agreements/amendments, credit approval and write-up. Participate in deal discussions, and coordinate with back/middle office for closing a facility.
+ For agency deals, monitoring credit facilities (i.e. credit limit, sub-limits, intra-day activities, etc.), validate borrower's requests and provide approval. Address lender's/borrower's inquiries. Facilitate LC reconciliation process with issuing bank/back office/borrower.
+ Analyze borrowing base prepared/provided by clients (i.e. review supporting detail, verify advance rate calculations, verify mark-to-market pricing for inventory, ensure that accounts receivable are within approved lender limits.). + Review and analyze position reports and mark-to-market reports. Discuss any discrepancies or deviations with relationship manager and the team leader of CMG.

**Skills & Experience:**
+ Undergraduate degree in finance or related business field or equivalent work experience.
