The Trading Operations Associate will be responsible for managing all aspects of Prime's crypto financing and trading service including spot and derivative transactions. Candidates should be based in the greater New York City area and will report to the head of the Prime Operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of daily client business with BitGo Prime, including but not limited to trade settlement, loan processing, derivative settlement, payments, reconciliation, and reporting
- Interact with external clients on a daily basis and liaise with internal stakeholders, including Compliance, Finance, Risk, Support, Sales, and Technology
- Work to onboard new clients and counterparties
- Identify service issues stemming from breakdowns in loan and trade processing
- Manage requests from multiple clients while providing excellent client service
- Communicate issues and ensure timely, accurate resolution
- Perform month end billing, ensuring timely payments and receipts
- Develop relationships with Prime Brokerage clients to build a high level of trust
- Work primarily ET hours
Skills & Experience
- 2-5 years experience in Trading (crypto or equities), Prime Brokerage or similar financial services
- Experience interacting with institutional clients (Hedge funds, family offices, venture funds etc)
- Comfortably manage competing priorities in a fast-moving, dynamic start-up environment
- Hands-on Excel or Google Sheets experience; macro programming exposure is a plus
- Genuine interest in financial services and cryptocurrency; crypto experience professionally or personally is a plus
- Incredible attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effectively interact with others in a pleasant, professional manner
- Understand and explain complex assets flows and procedures
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or equivalent experience

What You’ll do:
Trading and Portfolio Management:
- Process trade queue tasks, including Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA), bond maturities, and reviewing previous day requests.
- Execute Tax Loss Harvesting trades for clients as needed along with Tax Loss Harvesting (TLH) rebuys.
- Execute trades for flagship optimized portfolios, direct indexing strategies (Astro), and custom models for High-Net-Worth (HNW) clients.
- Oversee and manage routine trading activities, such as rebalancing and routine portfolio maintenance.
- Maintain hedge portfolio allocations and execute alternative investment proposals as needed.
- Coordinate Private Equity capital calls and distributions in client accounts.
- Participate in Investment Committee preparation and meetings.
Auditing and Oversight:
- Audit CRM and trading software to ensure data accuracy and compliance with firm policies.
- Monitor trader activities (i.e., Axxcess) and provide oversight for error mitigation and resolution.
- Perform audits on accounts that do not adhere to the firm’s CGAN Policy or Investment Policy Statement, identifying any discrepancies and ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
- Supervise routine trade oversight activities to ensure consistency and alignment with client objectives.
Decision-Making and Strategy:
- Evaluate and make decisions regarding complex trade requests and exceptions to standard trading policies.
- Develop and manage custom portfolio strategies for unique client needs and circumstances.
- Provide decision-making authorities on accounts that deviate from CGAN policies.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Maintain and troubleshoot clients and internal reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and manage trade tax projections to support client tax planning efforts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide insights into portfolio performance and trading strategies.
Billing Assistance:
- Collaborate with the Billing manager on billing audits and serve as backup on billing as needed.

The Voleon Group has formed a new team to help advance our data-driven investment initiatives. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for harvesting insights from a complex array of data. Your role will involve data curation, analysis, interpretation, visualization, and communication of your findings to members of the research staff and executive leadership. This role is a means to make a difference: as a machine learning company, data insights are essential to our business.
As a Data Scientist in Trading Operations, you will be embedded in the Quantitative Trading Strategy team. The team focuses on domain-heavy technical work, such as tuning execution algorithms and optimizing portfolio financing. You will build, maintain, and analyze data pipelines to generate insight consumed by the whole team. You will work at the intersection of trading and research on problems requiring market domain expertise and statistical and quantitative rigor.
Responsibilities- Design and implement systems to ensure data correctness and monitor data health in data stores and live feeds
- Proactively identify abnormal production behavior and communicate them clearly to relevant stakeholders
- Perform extemporaneous analyses on research and production trading systems with leadership
- Harness financial expertise and statistical analysis to gain actionable insights into our production trading and research systems
- Design and implement analysis pipelines that automate those analyses found to be valuable for ongoing monitoring
- 1+ years of applied end-to-end industry experience, including internships working with complex datasets, including curation, querying, aggregation, exploratory data analysis, and visualization
- Experience using statistical methods to analyze data, identify patterns, conduct root cause analysis, discover insights, and recommend solutions
- Ability to frame and answer questions mathematically
- Ability to infer useful forward-looking directions from results of retrospective analysis
- Fluency in managing, processing, and visualizing tabular data using a combination of SQL, Pandas, and R
- Basic software development skills and experience with bash, Linux/Unix, and git
- Ability to refine requirements from ambiguous requests to produce reports
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelors degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics, biostatistics, data science, computer science, or a related field)
- Masters degree in a quantitative discipline
- Prior industry experience or displayed interest in finance, such as related academic projects, coursework in financial engineering, or industry internships
- Experience developing in a production-facing environment and familiarity with standard concepts and tooling, e.g., CI/CD, git, Airflow
The base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $190,000 in the location(s) of this posting. Individual salaries are determined through a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Base salary does not include other forms of total compensation, such as bonus compensation and other benefits. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D insurance, 20 days of paid time off, 9 sick days, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.

You'll lead two high-impact software engineering teams with distinct but complementary missions:
- Application Platform & Tooling builds and maintains shared frameworks, libraries, and tools that accelerate software delivery across OddsFactory.
- Trading Platform Operations ensures that trading systems are observably performant, production-hardened, and event-ready, especially during critical sporting moments.
Your role is to unify these capabilities under a single strategic vision: reduce friction, increase reliability, and raise the bar for engineering execution across the entire platform.

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of engineering leadership experience, including managing multiple teams or domains.

- Demonstrated success leading teams responsible for production operations, readiness, or performance in a high-scale or event-driven domain.

- Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills; able to shift between technical depth and executive clarity.
Preferred Qualifications:

Salary Range: $160,000 - $65,000 per year (actual salary will be determined in part by a successful candidate's geographic location).
