**Job Description:**
Allied Universal® is hiring a Traffic Management Specialist. The Traffic Management Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic through the terminal facility at the Airport. Responsible for traffic safety, parking enforcement, and compliance with TSA mandates, the specialist assists the traveling public, provides information, and maintains a strong focus on customer service by creating positive, friendly, and helpful interactions. Specialists shall promote a positive travel experience by providing enhanced hospitality. They are a reflection of the Airport Authority, often providing the first and last "person-to-person" interaction the travel public have with the airport environment. Coordination with the Aviation Authority's enforcement staff and management of curb activities are key aspects of the role. Additionally, duties may involve initiating parking citations, towing coordination, and preparation of necessary reports.
**Pay: $17.75 / Hour**
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Perform traffic management duties and adhere to the approved Operating Procedures
+ Ensure traffic safety, parking enforcement, and enforce TSA mandates on unattended or waiting vehicles
+ Provide crowd control services in emergency situations or inclement weather
+ Assist the traveling public by providing information about flight activity, parking options, and other relevant assistance

**AECOM is currently seeking a Traffic Monitoring Specialist to help support our projects located within the Sanford, FL area.** The right candidate should possess a genuine interest in traffic and public safety and willingness to learn new skills.

The Traffic Management Specialist arranges the shipment of Pre-positioned GPMS cargo to various worldwide destinations via Air, Land, and Sea. Incumbent must comply with all applicable International and Federal Transportation Laws, Regulations, Tariffs and Department of Defense guidance. Ensures all shipments presented meet International Trade and Arms Regulations (ITAR). Responsible for, and participates in, quality assurance as part of the ISO 9001 program.
**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Inspects and accepts documentation (DD Form 1149/1348-1) for outbound cargo offered for shipment in the Defense Transportation System (DTS) for completeness, Transportation Account Code, accuracy, Hazardous/Classified, or ITAR certification.
+ Processes, verifies Nomenclature, Hazard Class, Quantity, and inspects outbound cargo offered for transportation.
+ Properly classifies freight, selects commodity codes, selects most efficient mode of shipment, and controls obligations for government transportation funds.
+ Inspects Hazardous Materials to ensure proper packaging, marking, labeling, documentation and certification in accordance with applicable Dangerous Goods Regulations (AFMAN24-204, 49Code Of Federal Regulation, International Maritime Dangerous Goods, etc.).

+ Processes Export Traffic Release Requests (ETRR) for sealift shipments using Surface Deployment Distribution Command (SDDC) Integrated Booking System (IBS).
+ Provides In-transit Visibility through the Global Transportation Network (GTN) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) servers, and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
+ Performs Port Handling and Inland Transportation (PHIT) duties as designated Work Monitor for Inbound and Outbound Line Haul Subcontractor trucks. Inspects and documents each shipment for contract compliance on a Customer Service Survey form.
+ Performs Host Country customs clearances and liaisons with Military and Host country Ministries on Import and Export for Border Customs Clearances, Airport Customs Clearances, and Seaport Clearances.
+ Inspects, accepts, and inventories Inbound Air Cargo, Line Haul Trucks, and Containers.

**Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:**
+ High school degree or equivalent.
+ One (1) to Three (3) years of experience in related field.

+ Must have completed training to prepare, certify and or inspect Hazardous Materials for Air Transportation IAW AFMAN 24-204, currency not required.

Role Summary

Multiple teams at Cloudflare make up and contribute to its Traffic Management function. Together they are responsible for the systems that optimize the flow of traffic into, through, and from Cloudflare's global network.

They don't just manage one company's traffic; they manage traffic for numerous products and millions of customers, from individual websites to major enterprises. This team is at the heart of Cloudflare's mission to make the internet faster, safer, and more reliable.

Role Responsibilities

As a member of the team you will build and extend various traffic management and supporting systems. You will work closely with Network Engineering, Product Engineering, Network Strategy, and other teams to collaborate on ambitious initiatives to make the best use of Cloudflare's global network.

You will participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle: from designing and documenting systems, to writing code and automated tests, to planning, managing, and monitoring production software deployments. You will work with a wide range of technologies and programming languages, including Go, Python, Rust, eBPF, ClickHouse, Salt, PostgreSQL, Prometheus, Kubernetes, and more.

Must-Have Skills

  • Systems-level programming experience in Go, Python, Rust, C, or C++
  • A solid grasp of networking protocols in Layers 3 and 4 of the OSI Model.
  • Experience/interest in network performance monitoring and tuning, including the use of eBPF and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of HTTP, TLS, and CDN networks.

**Among other tasks, Freeways Shift Supervisors' responsibilities include:**
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for all Operations Floor activities during their shift.
Following FDOT District 1 policies and procedures, including the District 1 TMC Operations SOP.

The Shift Supervisor will, as directed, assist the TMC Operations Manager in coordinating information flow within the Operations room and for facilitating response to disasters and high profile special events affecting traffic.
The TMC Shift Supervisor provides quality assurance on the day-to-day handling of all events in the operations room, including 511.
The Shift Supervisor will facilitate in the information exchange between the RTMC/STMC operators and with all law enforcement dispatch personnel, ensuring that all operators are aware of relevant information pertaining to their respective systems.
The Shift Supervisor will act as the TMC Operations Manager/Assistant TMC Operations Manager in their absence in handling and directing communications to the Department, FHP, local police, fire, EMS services, etc.
The Shift Supervisor is expected to assist the other operators with the ongoing workload.
The Shift Supervisor will monitor and report any internal and external system irregularities: Graphical User Interface (GUI), CCTV, Website, Vehicle Detection System (VDS), DMS, Monitors or Video Switch and other related equipment.
If requested by the Department, the Shift Supervisor will provide general information and coordinate with District PIO to provide media with non-confidential information.
The Shift Supervisor will respond to inquiries from public transportation.
Receive information on related roadwork, major accidents, etc., that could affect RTMC/STMC operations from outside sources.
The Shift Supervisor will receive information on special events and convey information on response details, as requested.
The Shift Supervisor will be responsible, as directed, for reports and data generation including reports, telephone logs, operator performance, incident reports and any other reports that are requested.
The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the daily scheduling of all breaks for operations room staff to ensure that there is sufficient staffing in the operations room at all times.
The Shift Supervisor will ensure the performance of daily maintenance checks of the system and all ITS field devices as directed.
Assist in the development and maintenance of the inventory database for all equipment residing within the RTMC/STMC.
Assist in the training of the operators and certification process documentation.
Coordinate ITS field devices repair and maintenance activities with the ITS IT and Maintenance Vendors.
The Shift Supervisor will ensure that all equipment outages are reported via the "Help Desk" system.
Support operation during Emergency Shoulder Use (ESU)
The Shift Supervisor will ensure all data generated and disseminated by the operations room is concise and timely, including: DMS messaging, text messaging, website messaging, notifications, alerts and any other communication from operations room staff.
The Shift Supervisor will facilitate proper Road Ranger dispatching to include resource allocation to events, data collection of all activities and proper quality assurance during Road Ranger assists being monitored by CCTV and other means.
The Shift Supervisor will facilitate and coordinate with FDOT and/or FHP the proper Rapid Incident Scene Clearance (RISC) Vendor dispatching to major events and other activities that require their service in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensure all activities and timestamps are logged into the SunGuide database and ensure the quality of information is complete and concise. This includes keeping the RISC Vendor rotation list current.
The Shift Supervisor will ensure that all alert messages and notifications are properly formatted and reviewed for accuracy and correctness and in accordance with the District 1 TMC Operations SOP.
The Shift Supervisor will perform all other tasks assigned by the Department.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required for Freeways Shift Supervisors:**
Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an Operator in a TMC or in a facility similar to the RTMC or STMC. Exceptions can be made with FDOT approval.
The use of prior experience to substitute for minimum requirements must receive the approval of the Department prior to individual being hired or promoted.
Extensive knowledge of the SunGuide Software and related systems.
Knowledge of Central Signal Systems.
