**Summary**
+ An Instrument Fitter Apprentice must have the knowledge and skills assist Instrument Fitters in installing tubing, stands, tubing raceway systems and some devices. Must work under constant supervision. **Essential Duties**
+ Assist in the Installation of tubing raceway systems and supports comprised of aluminum, galvanized steel, and stainless steel.
+ Installation of instrument devices such as stand-mounted transmitters and detectors.
+ Safe operation of hand and power tools such as band saws, drills, conduit threaders, hole punches and wire tuggers.
+ Assist an Instrument Fitter in bending tubing using manual, mechanical, and hydraulic benders.
+ Knowledge of OSHA Electrical Safe Work Practices as it pertains to a Instrument helper duties.
+ Knowledge of use, limitations and maintenance of all Personal Protective Equipment required for the assigned work.
+ Knowledge of hazards and safe work procedures associated with working form elevated work areas and personnel lift equipment.
+ Knowledge of hazards and safe work procedures associated with the assigned work including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout, Confined Spaces, Emergency Action Plans, Safe Work Permits, Incident Reporting, and Hazcom procedures

Under the Branch managers direct supervision with general direction from the Contact Lens Fitter, performs a variety of tasks to support the fitting, cleaning and dispensing of contact lenses. This is the entry-level position for the Contact Lens Filler classification.
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Conducts training classes on the proper procedures for the care and wearing of contact lenses with proper equipment.
+ Verify the specification of contact lenses with proper equipment.
+ Cleans and polishes contact lenses.
+ Cleans and maintains the contact lens inventory.
+ Explains policies and procedures regarding refunds and lens replacement agreements to patients.
+ Assists the Contact Lens Fitter as needed.
+ Assist other staff in the dispensing area, as needed

+ Incumbents of this classification must be able to perform the full scope of Contact Lens Fitter duties and have received their NCLE certification prior to promotion to Contact Lens Fitter.
+ Demonstrated experience using lensometer, required.
+ 50 mile driving required.
+ Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
+ Ability to write simple correspondence.
+ Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

- Assisting in the construction, operation and maintenance of gas distribution, transportation or production system.
- Setting meters, retiring old meter sets, setting curb boxes, repairing service lines, connecting and disconnecting meters, repairing leaks.

Primary Purpose of this Position:
Weld steel parts for structural, plate, and misc. steel assemblies per shop drawings and AWS quality requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
• Identify steel shapes, sizes, and mill tolerances.
• Preheat and/or cut work pieces using a hand torch when required. Clean welds of excess weld, splatter or slag using chipping hammers, wire brushes or grinders.
• Fabricate sub-pieces of the overall assembly as trained and instructed.
• Identify shop drawing errors and discrepancies before or during early stages of fabrication.
• Operate forklifts, jib cranes, and overhead cranes in order to move materials.
• Consistently and reliably works scheduled hours at assigned locations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to read, write, and perform higher arithmetic computations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, decimals and fractions.

Physical Demands:
• Walk CONTINUOUSLY over the course of the 8 to 12 hour work shift. The distances walked will range from a distance of a few feet to 60-foot length of a steel beam.
• Lift weights up to 20 pounds from floor to chest CONTINUOUSLY, which includes the various tools utilized in the process of performing the usual work duties.
• Lift weights up to 35 pounds from floor to waist FREQUENTLY, during the 10 to 12 during the work shift.
Non-Material Handling Demands
• Employee is expected to work 40 hours a week. However, hours including over time and weekends may be required based on welding needs.
• Hear sufficiently to be aware of safety issues.
• Visual ability to read and interpret cut lists and shop drawings. Safety glasses are required in the shop area.
• Exposure to heat, cold, wet and humid conditions in the shop area OCCASIONALLY.
• Exposure to fumes, odors and dusts in the shop area OCCASIONALLY.
• Exposure to solvents, greases, oils, and coolants OCCASIONALLY.
• Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment. PPE includes steel-toe safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats.
