**IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:**
+ **Training and Collaboration:** Train and collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and other stakeholders within site to transform raw information into clear, accurate, and engaging content.

**JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE**
The Training Specialist delivers technical skills training and instruction to new and senior level craft personnel. + Conduct safety and technical skills training programs to ensure employees have the right knowledge of safety, policies and procedures, as well as the technical skills required to perform effectively in their jobs.
+ Mitigate all risk associated with delivery of technical skills training and report safety violations.
+ Evaluate employee and classification to determine the training curriculum needed for safe, compliant, and error free performance of their respective position. Support design and development and maintenance of new and existing safety, skills and technical training materials.
+ Facilitate delivery of technical skills instruction for craft workers within the Distribution organization. The incumbent must be versed in various delivery formats including distance learning and knowledgeable of the subject matter in both theory and practical application.
+ Must be able to effectively observe and evaluate performance of training participants. Ultimately, this person must be able to recommend progression or not in respect to the training participants' abilities.
+ Evaluate effectiveness of training processes and programs and provides feedback to management. Evaluates employee and provides feedback to employee and management.

+ Applies A.D.D.I.E. or other development models as required for all course development projects and maintains course history information.
+ Actively solicits feedback on programs and updates as needed; improves, training initiatives to improve training (learning) effectiveness.
+ Obtains technical reviews from content owners and ensures the accuracy of revisions to provide customers with the highest quality technical materials.
+ May be involved with collaborating with business partners to review and update Training Procedures, Operating Procedures, Maintenance Procedures, and other documents as requested; also, to develop and manage a technical documentation plan for each project outlining deliverables, due dates, and launch requirements.

+ The training specialist will work with field personnel to understand and analyze performance needs to determine appropriate training solutions.

**JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Work with customers to determine needs and priorities and develop plans and initiatives to meet customer needs related to maintenance, and other technical training for the Power Generation organization.
+ Research and analyze operational, maintenance, and other technical training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultations with managers, instructors, or customer representatives.
+ Conduct needs and performance analysis to develop the basis for new curriculum development or for updating existing curricula for Power Generation operations, maintenance, and other technical personnel.

+ Oversee, schedule, deliver, teach and/or facilitate multi skilled training courses, including control room simulator training on CCCT, Operating fundamentals of CCCT, Instrumentation, Electrical, and Mechanical maintenance practices.
+ Applies evaluation models (such as Kirkpatrick's model of evaluation) to assure highest level of training effectiveness and analyzes existing training delivery to determine the appropriate method for future delivery.
+ Develop or update training courses and certification processes for new and existing operations, maintenance, and other technical personnel in Power Generation.
+ Applies A.D.D.I.E. or other development models as required for all course development projects and maintains course history information.
+ Actively solicits feedback on programs and updates as needed; improves, training initiatives to improve training (learning) effectiveness.
+ Obtains technical reviews from content owners and ensures the accuracy of revisions to provide customers with the highest quality technical materials.
+ May be involved with collaborating with business partners to review and update Training Procedures, Operating Procedures, Maintenance Procedures, and other documents as requested; also, to develop and manage a technical documentation plan for each project outlining deliverables, due dates, and launch requirements.
+ Participates in continuous improvement of technical writing processes and systems (e.g., content management) to ensure quality, compliance, and reliability of technical publications.

**What is the job about?**
Grundfos is seeking a Training Specialist to join its CBS team. The Training Specialist will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging training content focused on sustainable practices for Commercial HVAC and plumbing systems for the CBS Sustainable Buildings Academy. This position reports directly to the Senior Technical Sales Manager.
Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship is not available for applicants for US Work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa.
**Your main responsibilities** :
+ Conduct training sessions for distributors, customers, and engineers both in person and virtually.
+ Develop comprehensive training materials and presentations on sustainable HVAC and plumbing practices.
+ Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in sustainability.
+ Customize training programs to meet the specific needs of different audiences.
+ Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed.
+ Provide technical support and guidance to trainees during and after training sessions.
**Your background**
**We imagine that you have:**
+ A bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline is highly preferred.
+ A minimum of 3-5 years in HVAC/Plumbing with 1-2 years of training experience is highly preferred.
+ At least one sustainability-related credential (i.e. LEED Green Associate)
+ Strong technical skills within the HVAC/Plumbing industry with a strong emphasis on presentation and content development.
+ Strong communication skills and creativity to captivate diverse audiences and motivate them to adopt sustainable practices.
+ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and foster trust and cooperation with stakeholders.
