Overview

Leverage your consultative sales experience to strengthen the success of Esri technology with our customers. An energetic and resourceful individual is needed to drive strategic conversations with all levels of contacts promoting and securing training solutions. Your partnership with the account team will result in Esri customers being more efficient and empowered to fully take advantage of ArcGIS.

Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Redlands, CA area for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Work as an individual contributor utilizing available resources to achieve sales target
  • Proactively seek out training opportunities from a current customer base by consulting with government or B2B organizations to clearly understand their needs
  • Work with customers who have shown an interest in training and services
  • Proactively craft and propose solutions that clarify how Esri training, services, and staff development bring business value to address each customer's critical business goals and challenges
  • Represent and communicate the value of training and service to both internal and external Esri customers
  • Contribute to a total package solution as you partner with teams across Esri
  • Achieve measurable success by using your consultative skills to effectively manage the sales cycle from discovery to close
  • Leverage your networking skills at Esri events and elsewhere to expand your customer contacts and support the overall mission of helping Esri customers be successful
Requirements
  • 5+ years of consultative sales experience, preferably government or B2B
  • Direct work-related experience in or familiarity with the organizations and operations of the government communities
  • Demonstrated ability to be creative in the consultative sales process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 20% of the time
  • Bachelor's in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field

# Project Overview:
Bechtel is designing, constructing, and commissioning the world's largest radioactive waste treatment plant for the U.S. Department of Energy at the Hanford Site in southeastern Washington state. The Hanford Tank Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant will use vitrification technology to process and solidify 56 million gallons (210 million liters) of radioactive and chemical waste stored at the Hanford site, which is a byproduct of plutonium production during World War II and the Cold War era. The project is the largest undertaking of its kind and one of DOE's most technically challenging cleanup projects. Its construction spans 65 acres (26 hectares) with four major nuclear facilities Pretreatment, Low-Activity Waste Vitrification, High-Level Waste Vitrification and Analytical Laboratory as well as operations and maintenance buildings, utilities, other support facilities. The Waste Treatment Completion Company (WTCC) is a limited liability corporation created by Bechtel National Inc. (BNI) and Amentum. WTCC is a subcontractor to BNI, the prime contractor, to deliver the construction, turnover, startup, and commissioning activities for the WTP project. This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm. Selected applicant needs to be able and willing to work night shift (5:30 pm to 4:00 am) and weekends as needed.
# Job Summary:
Based to Construction, reporting to the HLW Completions Manager, the Construction Training Consultant helps ensure project training requirements required by construction or applicable to construction personnel are efficiently and effectively established and managed. #LI-CL1
# Major Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for the development and maintenance of LMS training profiles for construction personnel, based on classifications of employees, disciplines, roles, and/or specific responsibilities.
+ Responsible for ensuring construction training requirements are assigned to project employees in other functions/departments as required.
+ Helps ensure individuals assigned to work activities possess the skills and knowledge needed to accomplish their assigned tasks and that the level of training received is commensurate with the level of risk associated and the activity being performed.
+ Ensure the LMS is updated with the required training for the position or job function determined by Construction, Project Management, and associated RAMs.
+ Works proactively and coordinates and interfaces with WTCC and WTP Training management and staff.
**Job Duties include, but not limited to:**
+ Assist in development and implementation of the project training plan for construction which supports the Construction Requirements Area.
+ Coordinates with construction management to identify work situations requiring preventive or remedial training for employees.
+ Help ensure individuals complete their required training in a timely manner.
+ Assist in the scheduling and execution of training.
+ Arranges appropriate presenters and classrooms for training sessions.
+ In conjunction with the Training Departments, organizes and develops training materials, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids and other educational materials.
+ Develop and implement methods to measure learning and to evaluate effectiveness of training presentations and programs.
+ Monitors and coordinates to see that Contractors implement training to Employer personnel as required under the contracts.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
+ Develops and maintains Construction Department Training metrics.
+ Participates in, or performs, management assessments and surveillances.
+ Support the development of materials, scheduling training, conducting training, documentation of course attendance, development, and maintenance of metrics.
# Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university Engineering, Construction, or related discipline AND 5-8 years of related experience, or in lieu of a degree 9-12 years' related experience.
+ Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without Bechtel visa sponsorship now or in the future.
+ Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
+ Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge.)
+ Non-U.S. citizens from countries identified by the Department of Energy as posing heightened security concerns-including sensitive countries, state sponsors of terrorism, countries of risk, and other designated countries are subject to additional security requirements that limit site access.
+ Must be physically able to conduct field inspections and participate in project walk-downs which may require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, using fall protection and other personal protective equipment (PPE), walking on elevated platforms, walking on uneven surfaces, and maneuvering around very small and/or confined spaces.
# Required Knowledge and Skills:
+ Experience working with US Building Trade Unions and craft professionals.
+ Developed, managed, and supervised training programs for company organizations, preferably in construction.
+ Extensive experience with and knowledge of learning management systems/applications and training procedures.
+ Other Remarks/Qualifications:
+ Ability to communicate effectively.
+ Ability to communicate to groups in a classroom and non-classroom setting.
+ Ability to plan, organize, implement and evaluate training programs.
+ Good interpersonal skills.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Previous WTP, DOE, or DOD experience with construction on a nuclear facility.
+ Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and technical database applications.
