Transformation Architect
Amentum is seeking a **Transformation Architect** for a contract located in either the **Washington, DC** or **Huntsville, AL** area. This is a hybrid role which requires you to be located in one of these areas. **Minimum Requirements:**

About the Team :

You will be the primary customer-facing Transformation Architect within the Sales organization. You will bring experience leading global technology strategies with enterprise companies, defining strategic technology plans, and connecting multiple solutions for a holistic customer vision. Responsibilities :

  • Work with Medidata product management to help inspire creativity through their understanding of current and new technologies and customer requirements

The Boeing Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Digital Transformation Architect** to lead the digital transformation for **Air Proprietary 1** in the **Air Dominance** organization located in **Berkeley, MO** , focusing on the implementation of DevOps best practices within an organization transitioning from a legacy software development mindset. The ideal candidate will possess a strong architectural background, with the ability to set a clear vision for the transformation across all software teams on the program, influence senior leadership, and motivate teams to embrace new methodologies and technologies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Define and articulate a comprehensive vision for the digital transformation initiative, emphasizing the adoption of DevOps practices

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in software architecture, with a strong focus on DevOps practices and digital transformation
+ 5+ years of experience leading successful digital transformation initiatives within large organizations, particularly in transitioning from legacy systems
+ 5+ years of experience in software architecture, with a focus on cloud-based solutions and DevOps practices
+ 10 years of experience leading software team and/or projects
+ 5+ years of experience in automated provisioning and configuring of software-defined infrastructure and designing for continuous deployment and continuous operations
+ Proven experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
+ Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Gitlab, Jenkins) and practices, automation frameworks, and infrastructure as code (IaC).

  • Ensure knowledge transfer is conducted with key customer project team. Is a thought leader in the relevant Industry and Solution areas and can apply that knowledge to customer situations.
  • Communicate and/or support the business cases to PMG and PD regarding specific trends for future product functionality and enhancements.
  • Develop functional specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports and screens that meet the customers' business objectives and are of sound design.
  • Provide advice to customers regarding industry best practices and process methodology. Provides support during the "go-live" period and knowledge transition during project roll-off.
  • Liaise between various stakeholders on a project including BY Consultants, Customer / partner consultants, Business users, IT, PMO, Change Team, Cloud and Product Teams to ensure the intended business objectives and value can be realized.
  • Has full command and accountability for the E2E Solution & Application architecture on a project, to enable the intended business value. Maintain a detailed knowledge of the technical integration architecture in the landscape and an ability to support technical design discussions along with Blue Yonder Technical Architects.
  • Perform new product solution validation and end-to-end data flow, solution, interface, workflow & reports and performance testing. Raise Jira & case tickets & provide feedback to PD/PMG on defects & enhancements.
  • Serve as a functional liaison and attends and contributes to key meetings between Project Manager, key customer contacts, and customer users, up to and including key executive project sponsors.
  • Understand how the BY solutions within area of focus can be configured and delivered to better facilitate customer business processes (ensuring ability to design, execute, and deliver).
What we are looking for:
  • 15+ years of hands-on experience as an architect, defining and configuring supply chain solutions, either as a customer of Blue Yonder/JDA or other similar solutions, or as a consultant implementing Blue Yonder/JDA or other similar solutions .
  • Has demonstrable experience with Blue Yonder Solutions or similar supply chain / ERP solutions. Has detailed knowledge and command over the full landscape of the E2E Blue Yonder solutions and sufficient detailed knowledge about external (customer) systems in a typical E2E landscape.
  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics or Operations Research preferred. A combination of Bachelor 's degree and relevant industry experience will also be considered.
  • An understanding of how Blue Yonder/JDA solutions can be configured to better facilitate client business processes is required.
  • Supply Chain Management concepts, awareness of tactical and operational planning on overall supply chain required.
  • Ability to drive discussions on both functional processes and technical concepts in a language that can be understood across a diverse audience and multiple levels within customer's/Blue Yonder organization.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with diverse stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, and at senior levels of an organization (C-suite) and work collaboratively with them
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, effectively and proactively.
  • Passionate about working with new technologies and products and have demonstrated the ability to learn quickly, have good interpersonal & communication skills - verbal & written.
  • Ready to travel to customer sites based on business needs, and flexible to work with overlapping time zones.
  • Ability to train and mentor architects
  • Knowledge / exposure to microservices / MACH architecture is desirable
  • In-depth Domain knowledge and practical business process development experience within Retail is preferred and across several Verticals/Industry is desirable.
  • Working experience of AI/ ML algorithms is desirable
  • Working experience of R, python packages is desirable
  • Understanding database, Snowflake, Azure, SaaS technical platform, DevOps operations is desirable
  • Relevant industry certification from APICS and TOGAF will be a plus.

The salary range for this position is $130,023.00 to $163,997.00 USD

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.

Lead solutioning and delivery architecture for large-scale network modernization programs across WAN/LAN/WLAN and cloud networking. Own end-to-end designs for SD-WAN to SASE/Zero-Trust transitions, Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) models, multi-cloud connectivity patterns, and observability/automation, aligning to business outcomes, security, and experience (SLA/XLA).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Own discovery, assessment and target-state reference architectures for enterprise networks (WAN/LAN/WLAN, DC/Cloud, OT/edge).
  • Design and document HLD/LLD for SD-WAN platforms and SASE/Zero-Trust controls (SWG, CASB, ZTNA, FWaaS).
  • Define multi-cloud networking patterns (AWS TGW/Transit, Azure vWAN/Route Server, GCP NCC) and hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute/Direct Connect/Interconnect).
  • Shape LAN/WLAN modernization (intent-based/SD-Access, Wi-Fi 6/6E/7) and campus segmentation with identity-aware policies.
  • Lead PoCs and solution validation; create BOMs/BOQs, migration runbooks, fallback plans, test/UAT approaches and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with OEMs and Telcos; evaluate NaaS constructs and commercials; contribute to make-vs-buy decisions.
  • Embed observability and AIOps; specify telemetry, synthetics, and experience metrics (e.g., XLA) and define SLOs/SLIs.
  • Industrialize network automation (Ansible/Terraform, pipelines, IaC/GitOps), golden configs and compliance guardrails.
  • Contribute to pursuits (RFI/RFP/Orals), solution narratives, effort/cost models and risk registers; ensure solution governance and sign-offs.
  • Provide architecture oversight into delivery; guide transition, cutovers, hypercare and handover; coach architects/engineers.
  • Author reusable patterns/accelerators and knowledge assets for the practice; evangelize TCS frameworks and best practices.
Qualifications:

Mandatory Skills Experience:
  • 12-18+ years in networking with 6+ years as an architect delivering global programs (>200 sites or equivalent scale).
  • Proven track record leading assessments, roadmaps, designs and migrations for SD-WAN/SASE and campus/DC modernization. Experience in multi-vendor, multi-supplier environments; comfortable with Guardian/Service Integration models.
  • Consulting orientation with strong client-facing communication, storytelling and executive presentation skills.
Education & Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology (or equivalent experience).

One or more vendor/industry certifications: CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE 7/8, ZIA/ZCCP, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate, TOGAF/ITIL (preferred).

Technical Skills:
  • Deep architecture expertise in two or more SD-WAN stacks (e.g., Cisco Viptela/Meraki, Aruba EdgeConnect, Versa, Fortinet, Palo Alto/Prisma, Juniper).
  • Hands-on design of SASE components (SWG, CASB/DLP, ZTNA, FWaaS) with vendors such as Zscaler, Netskope, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, or Cloudflare.
  • Cloud networking across AWS/Azure/GCP (Transit/Hub-and-Spoke, vWAN, Route Server, TGW, NCC), DNS/DHCP/IPAM (e.g., Infoblox) and identity-aware segmentation.
  • Campus & DC networking (EVPN/VXLAN, SDA/ACI or equivalent), Wireless (Wi-Fi 6/6E/7), NAC/802.1X.
  • Automation and IaC (Ansible, Terraform, Git, CI/CD) and scripting (Python/Bash) to codify design, config and operational workflows.
  • Observability & Digital Experience Monitoring (e.g., ThousandEyes, AppNeta, Datadog, Dynatrace) and NPM/NPMD stacks; capacity and performance engineering.
  • Security fundamentals: Zero-Trust architectures, micro/macro-segmentation, certificate/PKI, encryption, BCP/DR for networks.
  • Understanding of OT/Industrial networks and Private 5G/LTE (nice-to-have) for shop-floor and edge scenarios.
