Amentum is seeking a **Transformation Architect** for a contract located in either the **Washington, DC** or **Huntsville, AL** area. This is a hybrid role which requires you to be located in one of these areas. You are a lead architects (e.g., Network Architect, Enterprise Architect, ServiceNow/ITSM Architect) who envisions and designs "future state" solutions such as advanced cloud architectures, Zero Trust network frameworks, and other emerging technologies to enhance IT environments. **Key Responsibilities:**

**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field
+ At least 10 years of experience in Enterprise IT architecture
+ At least 5 years leading transformation or modernization efforts in large-scale, complex environments
+ Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing hybrid architectures (on-premise and cloud) within federal, DoD, or similarly regulated environments
+ Proven track record in transitioning legacy systems to modern platforms with minimal disruption to operations
+ Strong experience with zero-trust architectures, software-defined networking (SDN), and cybersecurity frameworks in a mission-critical environment
+ Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, TOGAF, Zachman)
+ Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and tools such as ServiceNow, virtualization platforms, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and DevSecOps pipelines
+ Strong experience planning and implementing agile methodologies across engineering and service teams within complex technical environments

Qualifications:

Mandatory Skills Experience:

• Cloud networking across AWS/Azure/GCP (Transit/Hub-and-Spoke, vWAN, Route Server, TGW, NCC), DNS/DHCP/IPAM (e.g., Infoblox) and identity-aware segmentation.
• Campus & DC networking (EVPN/VXLAN, SDA/ACI or equivalent), Wireless (Wi-Fi 6/6E/7), NAC/802.1X.
• Automation and IaC (Ansible, Terraform, Git, CI/CD) and scripting (Python/Bash) to codify design, config and operational workflows.
• Observability & Digital Experience Monitoring (e.g., ThousandEyes, AppNeta, Datadog, Dynatrace) and NPM/NPMD stacks; capacity and performance engineering.
• Security fundamentals: Zero-Trust architectures, micro/macro-segmentation, certificate/PKI, encryption, BCP/DR for networks.
• Understanding of OT/Industrial networks and Private 5G/LTE (nice-to-have) for shop-floor and edge scenarios.
