At Regions, the Business Transformation Manager manages the delivery lifecycle of large, enterprise transformation efforts, including strategy, definition, execution and deployment. Successful candidates will develop deep expertise in this role that may, in time, be deployed at other sites within the Polaris manufacturing network and supply chain. The ideal candidate will initially reside in Huntsville, Alabama, with the flexibility and desire to relocate for future opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

+ Develop and Implement Lean Strategies: Lead the development and execution of lean transformation strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.

We are seeking an experienced automation engineer with a strong track record of leading successful automation projects in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on designing and implementing automated systems to improve productivity, quality, and safety across steel welding, cutting, and bending operations. This is a key role in modernizing our production capabilities, supporting the efficient, high-quality fabrication of steel hulls, decks, and structural components for marine barges.

Arcosa Marine Products, a leading manufacturer of inland barges, manufactures dry cargo barges, including flat-deck and hopper barges, that are used to transport a variety of products including grain, coal, and aggregates. Arcosa Marine Products also manufactures tank barges that carry petroleum, fertilizer, ethanol, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes. It is the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers used primarily on grain barges. Additionally, Arcosa Marine Products provides a full line of deck hardware to the marine industry, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities.

What You'll Do:

* Lead automation initiatives to improve efficiency in robotic welding, plasma/oxy-fuel cutting, press brake forming, and other fabrication processes.
* Design, integrate, and troubleshoot robotic systems (Fanuc, Lincoln Electric, etc.) used in steel barge construction.
* Collaborate with production, maintenance, and design engineering teams to scope, launch, and sustain automation projects.
* Optimize welding parameters and fixture design to ensure structural integrity and reduce rework.
* Evaluate and recommend technology upgrades to align with plant goals for throughput, safety, and quality.
* Develop and maintain documentation (schematics, SOPs, safety procedures, training guides).
* Train operators and technicians to safely and effectively run automated equipment.
* Ensure compliance with applicable safety and industry standards (OSHA, AWS D1.1, etc.).

What You'll Need:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
* 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing automation role, preferably in heavy steel or marine fabrication.
* Hands-on experience with robotic welding, automated cutting (plasma, laser, oxy-fuel), and steel forming processes.
* Experience with marine barge construction or shipbuilding processes.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
* Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and simulation tools.
* Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, or Lincoln Electric automation experience highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial controls (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
* Familiarity with AWS welding codes and structural steel quality requirements.
* Strong project leadership skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
* Comfortable working in a production environment with large-scale steel assemblies.
