In this role you will integrate into a client team to provide a full range of language support, including processing written and audio materials and providing linguistic and cultural expertise. Job Description
The Translation Imaging Lead fully owns the development of the strategic guidance for the clinical and biomarkers imaging portfolio and works towards drug development deliverables.
You will primarily focus on ensuring that oncology clinical programs are using appropriate imaging techniques in all phases of development, which entails directly working with development teams within the drug development process.
The Translation Imaging Lead will lead development of radiomics algorithms as tools for effective delivery of precision medicine and will enable preclinical and clinical teams by scouting and incorporating state-of-the-art imaging strategies and suggesting (emerging) imaging approaches and techniques that will aid the development of new drugs.
In this role you will strategically influence the use of imaging biomarkers for decision-making purposes from early development through submission and will strive to improve the overall excellence in this area. You will achieve the above by relying on internal resources throughout the organization, in particular in in Research, Development, Radiology and DS&AI and by leveraging external academic and vendor relationships and that clinical and biomarker imaging activities adhere to regulatory and industry standards and ensures the regulatory acceptance of new imaging biomarkers when appropriate. The Senior Director, Translation Imaging Lead will collaborate with GCIS in developing imaging strategies and support as well as monitor their successful operational implementation.
**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
The primary responsibilities of this role Translation Imaging Lead are to:
Portfolio Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for assigned development programs with regard to advising on appropriate use of imaging biomarkers and techniques and on the appropriate implementation in clinical trials (imaging acquisition and analysis techniques, imaging documents including charters, image collection, quality control and archiving) in cooperation with the Radiology GCIS team or external imaging CRO;
+ Serves as a member of the Integrated Product Team (IPT) when required and proactively provides relevant Oncology expertise to IPT when evaluating and developing imaging strategies;
+ Responsible for directing the global oncology Radiomics approach across portfolio by providing expertise and leadership both;
+ Acts as thought partner to early research leaders, proactively following early projects prior to D2, and taking an active role from D2 onwards, assembling resources for subsequent imaging activities on the project;
+ Leads motivated and engaged teams while role modelling and fostering effective team behavior to achieve development program goals.
Responsibilities beyond portfolio:
+ In alignment with the overall oncology strategy and Translational Sciences community, identifies new opportunities for collaboration and manages excellent relationships with new and existing partners, both within as well as outside of Bayer, to drive Imaging excellence;

**WHO YOU ARE**
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
+ Must have one of the following: a) Medical doctor (MD or MD/PhD) or imaging scientist (PhD) trained in radiology, nuclear medicine, imaging physics or image analysis including some industry experience, OR b) a Master's degree trained in radiology, nuclear medicine, imaging physics or image analysis including industry experience in Clinical Imaging OR c) a Bachelors' degree trained in radiology, nuclear medicine, imaging physics or image analysis including significant industry experience;
+ Proven track record in research and/or clinical development (including first experiences in oncology applications with emphasis on radiological and /or PET/SPECT imaging and biomarker use);
+ Thorough understanding of imaging and clinical development in oncology; experiences with regulatory framework for biomarkers, and use of imaging for registration of Oncology products are helpful. Experience interacting with imaging CROs;
+ Outstanding scientific reputation as evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals and preferably as speaker of conferences and strong network in the academic and clinical imaging community;
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (fluency in English, oral and written)
Preferred Qualifications:

As a linguist professional, you will use your language expertise to support critical government operations, working on projects that have a direct national security impact.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Active **TS/SCI clearance** with adjudicated polygraph
+ Ability to pass an advanced English proficiency test
+ Ability to achieve **ILR Level 3 or higher** on target language translation test (Korean)
+ Minimum of **3 years** professional experience in translation, transcription, and/or interpretation
+ In-depth knowledge of the geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural context of Korean-speaking regions

**Key Responsibilities**

SOSi is seeking Dari/Pashto linguists for work in Northern Virginia. In this role you will integrate into a client team to provide a full range of language support, including processing written and audio materials, providing linguistic and cultural expertise, or supporting engagements with your translation, transcription, and interpretation skills. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and collaborate and engage with client personnel to further mission.
**Essential Job Duties**
+ Read, write, and speak Dari/Pashto at a fluent or native level.
+ Gist, summarize, and translate Dari/Pashto printed, electronic, or audio/visual material into clear, understandable, and idiomatically correct English.
+ Provide interpretation in individual meetings and conference style settings. Simultaneous or consecutive interpretation while preserving the nuance of speaker.
+ Leverage knowledge of culture, media, and language to provide customer insights from translated materials.
