Are you ready to help Amazon deliver world class service in its transportation operations? Transportation Associates will perform trailer moves in the trailer yard, coordinate yard activities (such as checking in trailers, traffic flow, internal communications with operations, etc.), conduct yard audits, complete applicable driver training programs (Hostler, Commercial Driver's License (CDL) School, etc.), and operate multiple vehicle types based on business need (including but not limited to hostlers and day cabs) to support Amazon's transportation network. As a Transportation Associate you will:
- Make safety a priority by adhering to company rules and regulations. You will follow and enforce safety measures and policies to all who operate vehicles on behalf of Amazon and those who enter the yard, including vendors and senior team members
- Perform various functions within the yard, support site operations teams, internal transportation field teams, and external carriers, as needed, to ensure all trailers arrive and depart on time with zero defects and to maintain workflow for buildings.
- Be professionally trained to operate Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) on non-public roads or in yard to move trailers to/from dock and parking locations.
- Learn Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and comply with company policies, procedures of those DOT regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, trailer designations, violation and incident reporting requirements, break periods, etc.)
- Complete driver vehicle inspection reports on equipment and notify managers of any maintenance or delivery issues encountered.
- Follow hostler and delivery schedules, track and report working hours and breaks at appropriate times in compliance with Amazon policy and federal and state regulations, adhere to yard safety policies, obey all applicable traffic laws, and drive in accordance with weather/road conditions.
- Support the business on an as needed basis by serving as a peer trainer and/or working at nearby site locations within the area
- Drive, maneuver, and load/unload a truck using approved equipment (pallet jack, etc.).

As a Transportation Associate you will:

- Complete driver vehicle inspection reports on equipment and notify managers of any maintenance or delivery issues encountered.

Position Summary

We are seeking two Warehouse / Transportation Associates to join our team. These roles are central to the day-to-day logistics and functioning of our warehouse and distribution operations. Responsibilities include receiving, processing, storing, and transporting inventory to cooperative locations according to purchase orders and schedules. Duties also involve loading orders onto trucks, organizing stock, ensuring accurate labeling, and serving as a representative of Urban Recipe during deliveries and vendor interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect merchandise from the warehouse and safely transport materials to co-op locations
  • Receive, inspect, and document merchandise for delivery or return
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory entering or exiting the warehouse
  • Identify and report missing, lost, or damaged items in a timely manner
  • Ensure products are safely stored, labeled, and organized for distribution
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to maintain the quality, quantity, and variety of inventory
  • Support the development and implementation of operational systems and best practices
  • Complete weekly distribution trackers, logs, and administrative paperwork
  • Serve as a representative of Urban Recipe at vendor sites and distribution locations
  • Provide support for special projects and operational improvements as needed
  • Wear and utilize all required PPE and follow safety protocols at all times

Education and Certification
