Transportation Associates will perform trailer moves in the trailer yard, coordinate yard activities (such as checking in trailers, traffic flow, internal communications with operations, etc.), conduct yard audits, complete applicable driver training programs (Hostler, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) School, etc.), and operate multiple vehicle types based on business need (including but not limited to hostlers and day cabs) to support Amazon’s transportation network. As a Transportation Associate you will:

• Complete driver vehicle inspection reports on equipment and notify managers of any maintenance or delivery issues encountered.

• Follow hostler and delivery schedules, track and report working hours and breaks at appropriate times in compliance with Amazon policy and federal and state regulations, adhere to yard safety policies, obey all applicable traffic laws, and drive in accordance with weather/road conditions.

• Support the business on an as needed basis by serving as a peer trainer and/or working at nearby site locations within the area

• Drive, maneuver, and load/unload a truck using approved equipment (pallet jack, etc.).

If Associate is requested to become CDL and DQF certified to drive Over-the-Road for Amazon, this position becomes regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and follows regulations issued by the DOT’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Candidate must hold a valid driver’s license for the state in which they reside and be eligible to drive in accordance with DOT requirements. Position Summary:
The Transportation Associate provides transportation services to the Neighborhood PACE Day Health program, serving the frail elderly, and providing courier services between EBNHC locations and PACE sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
