About the role:
In the Transportation Operations Coordination role, you will be responsible for delivering a unique customer experience through a self-driving, compliant, and regionally differentiated distribution network, aligned with Takeda's commitment to patients, people, and the planet. This position supports plants and affiliates by providing innovative best practices in transportation and customs processes and systems, including LLP, SAP GTS, and SAP LES, with a focus on Transportation Operations and Shipping Solutions. Additionally, the role involves executing transportation orders and managing import/export customs activities from U.S. sites, contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), and distribution centers (DCs). This includes planning, organizing, and monitoring the transportation of intermediates and finished products from Takeda plants, as well as overseeing the replenishment of finished goods to third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and distributors. You will report into Lead, US Transportation and Customs Operations.
**How you will contribute:**
+ Execute the transportation and Import/Export Customs activities of commercial and non-commercial goods between sites/CMOs/DCs and from sites/CMOS to RDCs / DCs / Distributors
+ Execute transportation and customs activities with selected partners (LLP/LSP/Brokers) and Takeda digital solutions (SAP, LES, GTS.) to ensure end-to-end visibility of shipments
+ Execute transportation operations according to standards flows (Haori) and default distribution network (RDC/GDC/ADO); Evaluate most appropriate transportation mode and route via RISE. Actively engage into S&OE and OPU meetings for monitoring and reporting of performance on critical indicators (Air to sea conversion, RDC Bypass.)
+ Support execution of products launches in area of responsibilities
+ Support the implementation of strategic initiatives with all plants, OpUs and LOCs to optimize transportation spends and to achieve service level targets
+ Monitor US inbound shipments activities from PLANTS/CMOs (OpUs) to PLANTS/CMOs/DC's
+ Monitor US export shipments activities from PLANTS/CMOs (OpUs) to RDCs / DCs and to distributors on export markets
+ Monitor LLP IDOCs issues resolution
+ Manage Deviations and conduct comprehensive investigations in collaboration with QA GDP to define CAPAs for commercial and non-commercial shipments
+ Manage transportation lane by implementing validated shipping solutions to maintain temperatures in transit
+ Participate in QBR & Performance mgmt. of LSPs and report comments on CSLe in scope
+ Verify accuracy of Master data on SAP LES module and GTS
+ Support Internal/Ext. Audits
+ Perform shipment costing and controls activities (SAP Shipment costing setup, InvoiceTrack Processing, Freight invoice controls.)
+ Perform accurate processing of freight invoices, ensuring adherence to financial requirements and Sox Compliance. Control and approve P&L entries, POs and Accruals and request corrections as appropriate

Compensation Range:

This individual is expected to efficiently support the supply chain management software application functions, data management and sources, testing of new technology, assist with data migration and correction, and support activities related to the integration of supply chain management information systems. Key Responsibilities
•Joining a team of highly qualified materials management and supply chain professionals, this individual will be responsible for supporting the supply chain management process, systems, and software functions for MRP, ERP, data sources, testing, integrations, reporting, analytics, and more within the cell therapy network. The support includes, but is not limited to, working with supply chain leadership to identify requirements and develop effective solutions to meet these requirements following standard implementation testing and deployment of guidelines.

•Coordinate and actively participate in the execution of user acceptance testing for fixes, enhancements, and upgrades to ensure system reliability. Provide regular status updates on open issues, requests, and projects to stakeholders, maintaining transparent communication.
•Lead and/or participate in project teams to implement new software solutions or processes, contributing to successful project outcomes. Actively seek out opportunities for system and process improvements to enhance performance, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
•Continuously learn and apply business, technical, and software knowledge, sharing insights with departmental users to promote continuous improvement. Train users on new data, software functionalities, tasks, processes, and reporting and analysis techniques to ensure effective system utilization.
•Act as a source of knowledge in areas of supply chain best practices and methodologies. Work cohesively with cross-functional teams in support of operational efficiency, flexibility, and assurance of material availability. Support the implementation process improvements by maintaining open communication with all teams and fostering environment of cooperation in which to achieve shared goals.
•Lead systematic initiatives related to network materials planning including, supplier forecast, network inventory allocation, safety sock analysis, planning parameters, and supply planning activities. Maintain effective and service-oriented relationships with departmental and organizational-level stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience
•Bachelor's degree in applied science.
•2+ years relevant experience.
•1+ years' relevant experience with materials management and/or supply planning within cGMP operations in matrixed organization with multi-level setup
•Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
•Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive attitude that is willing to assist other areas of the organization.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong focus and attention to detail.
•Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and maintain a strong attention to detail.
•APICS certification is a plus
