This Opportunity

Who You Are
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, or a related field (or equivalent experience.)
+ 3 to 5 years of experience working in the transportation planning field, actively engaging in general plans, specific/master plans, zoning code updates, public involvement, and regulatory compliance for a variety of client projects relating to equitable transportation development and construction, transportation demand management, mobility planning, multimodal access, surface transportation, and funding.
+ Highly familiarity with the transportation project development cycle; including from planning to implementation.
+ Experience reviewing surface transportation projects and program cost estimates and assessing project readiness for inclusion in the strategic local/regional Transportation Plan.
+ Effective analytical skills and prior experience with research techniques, local/regional geography, transportation networks, systems, and modalities.
+ Knowledge of relevant approval processes, zoning laws, permitting requirements, notification and compliance practices, and applicable Regional/State/Federal regulatory framework.
+ Proficient interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience.
+ Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
+ Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, work independently, and comply with company policies.

This position plays a pivotal role in regional distribution and transportation. + Track air delivery, import, and air carrier delivery performance reporting.
+ Utilize Transportation Management tools like GTNexus for air and ocean performance and delivery traceability.
+ Provide input to strategic decisions affecting costs, performance, quality, timeliness, and completeness.
+ Lead operations/logistics planning and execution activities, including communication with carriers and key stakeholders.
+ Provide transportation expertise on new initiatives and continuous improvement.

+ Support and analyze North America and Global RFP across complex networks.
+ Coordinate with production facility and logistics provider to ensure coverage on loads moving to distribution centers.

**The Job:**
As a Transportation Manager, you'll be part of our Fort Mill Distribution Center team working as an on-site employee. This role ensures the efficient, safe, and cost-effective movement of goods to and from the facility, manages carrier relationships, and leads a team of transportation staff to meet service and budget objectives.
You'll get to:
+ Lead the development and execution of innovative transportation strategies to maximize delivery efficiency and minimize costs,
+ Proactively monitor and analyze key performance indicators, including financial metrics, productivity levels, service quality, and operational objectives-to drive continuous improvement and achieve effective departmental cost management.
+ Effectively leads and manages activities of the Logistics Planning team, keeping them informed, focused and motivated.
+ Responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating improved processes and operational polices, recommending changes to fulfill the customers' requirements.
+ Coordinates activities with all internal and external customers (operations team, purchasing, buyer/planners, suppliers, vendors, etc.) to obtain optimum business proficiency.
+ Executes a variety of administrative functions to ensure the efficient operation of the department, including compiling, maintaining, and retrieving data for timely and accurate report generation.
+ Conducts training and ensures adherence to company, governmental, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
+ Manages the export process and is responsible for developing and enforcing standard operating procedures to comply with U.S and foreign regulations

+ Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of Transportation and Logistics experience required
+ Demonstrated knowledge of logistics and production planning principles, with hands-on experience in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing operations.
+ Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and Teams), SAP, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
+ Strong proven leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills
+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
