+ Direct management and analytical support for transportation distribution, to include HAZMAT, carrier selection/management and tracking analysis in support of daily operations.
+ Assisting with customs clearance and door to door transportation of assets, providing a full range of distribution and transportation support for DoD programs.

+ Plans, develops, and implements internal procedures, methods, and techniques for determining the appropriate mode of transportation services.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
+ Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.
**Qualifications**
+ 10 years of field experience providing transportation management and consulting support, utilizing Cargo Movement Operating System, able to address all forms of Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) shipping system and invoice/billing interface systems to account for payment of all items shipped, providing a full range of distribution and transportation support for DoD programs deployments to customers world-wide, and be capable of learning additional transportation systems in support of mission transportation needs as required.

Description
The Supply Planning & Optimization team is seeking a Transportation Planning Analyst to support and analyze daily supply program execution related data in Amazon's growing middle mile network. This role is an exciting opportunity to join a team in a dynamic agile field for Amazon. This position will query, audit, and analyze data, drive process improvements, standardize current processes, and eliminate the root cause of defects cross functional supplier execution specifically associated with the Variable Supply Product Line. The Transportation Planning Analyst will work directly with internal and external stakeholders to remove barriers and streamline operations. Open to recent college graduates.
Key job responsibilities
· Systematically intake, escalate, and triage execution related problems to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered.
· Audit documentation submitted by input owners to ensure it complies with standard operating procedures and adheres to specification limits.
· Pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, SQL, or other data management systems) to perform reporting and analysis.
· Use data analysis to determine impacts from supplier capacity performance and communicate clearly to relevant stakeholders.
· Update Weekly Business Review (WBR) root cause analysis and recommended actions.
· Support Supply Planning & Optimization Team's internal stakeholders by acting as a liaison between them and Supply Planning Input.

* Equipment Type Strategy Forward analysis for upcoming financial planning process
* Finalize and send Publish Email
* Analytics: Projects Updates and Work
* Dashboard clean up/creation/optimization for increased understanding

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent experience

Duties and Responsibilities Oversee a region-specific logistics plan for the assignment and scheduling of shipments. Collaborate closely with drivers to discuss shipment details and delivery requirements. Monitor logistics changes and ensure updates are accurately reflected in the computer systems. Ensure adherence to assigned schedules and timelines. Proactively troubleshoot and resolve transportation or delivery issues as they occur. Requirements Skills and Background Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation planning, ideally within the moving industry. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Detail-oriented and highly organized detail oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility to adapt to scheduling needs, including one Saturday per month (two Saturdays per month during the peak season of 5/15-8/31) and occasional half days on holidays.
