Responsibilities

  • Analyze and solve complex transportation planning or engineering problems involving all travel modes
  • Communicate clearly and concisely using strong writing and presentation skills
  • Make effective, timely and informed recommendations to elected officials, managers, and decision-makers
  • Develop and expand high-quality internal and client relationships
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in transportation, civil engineering, urban and regional planning, or a related major (e.g., geography, math, statistics, economics)
  • 3 - 8 years of directly relevant work experience in one or more of the following areas: transportation planning (e.g., bicycle or transit plans, infrastructure finance, transportation and land use policy), transportation operations analysis, transportation engineering and streetscape design, transportation demand management (TDM), and/or travel demand forecasting
  • Excellent technical writing and public speaking skills
  • Experience with project management and marketing
  • Professional license (highly desirable)
  • Willingness to travel to other geographic markets, on occasion

$100,000 - $155,000 a year

Placement within the stated pay range will be determined based upon education, experience, and qualifications.

In the role of Project Manager Engineering, we'll count on you to:

  • Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out)

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for development of the project scope and fee quotation and assists in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA). Leads or actively participates in client contract scoping and negotiations.

Works with the project team and marketing resources to prepare appropriate proposal and presentation materials. Leads proposal development and interview presentations for strategic, mini-mega, and mega projects to the client as well as general presentations within the industry and community.
