About the Job:
As a member of the Patient Care Services team, the Emergency Services Registered Nurse cares for pediatric and adult patients presenting with a variety of illnesses, injuries or trauma. The ED Nurse specializes in assessing, intervening, and stabilizing patients in situations that require critical clinical decision-making skills. The registered nurse successfully completes a competency-based orientation program to become proficient in serving the Emergency Services patient population.

Job Summary and Qualifications
The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.
As a Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intermediate Trauma Care Unit (TCU), you will be responsible for performing patient assessments, developing a plan of care, implementing and evaluating care. You will be responsible for directing, monitoring and evaluating the care delegated to non-licensed personnel on the team.
* You will perform and document patient assessments at the time of the admission
* You will create a plan of care, including discharge plans, revise the plans based on the patients' response to treatment and regularly evaluate plans for effectiveness

* You will provide educational materials to patients and families on care and treatments
* You will administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy

Job Summary and Qualifications
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.
What you will do in this role:
+ Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served
+ Promotes customer service initiatives along with Skyline Medical Center Service Values. (HCAHPS)
+ All behaviors fully support positive customer service (HCAHPS)
+ Documents all patient care.
+ Utilized Nursing Process for individual care to meet needs of patients.
+ Demonstrates ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
+ Promotes compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.
+ Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
+ Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
+ Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
+ Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
+ Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
What qualifications you will need:
+ Current Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or appropriate compact state
+ Appropriate communication skills
+ Education - ASN, BSN preferred
