**Responsibilities**
The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) is a member of the Rehabilitation Leadership Council, and participates in the establishment of policies and procedures for all IP therapy services. Designs and implements a framework to integrate and coordinate patient care services, and program development with all IP therapy departments within the assigned facility, consistent with quality service and maximization of profit. Provides direction, expertise and mentoring to facilitate the growth and development of IP rehabilitation therapy services. Directs daily operations of inpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy services.
Specific Duties
+ Ensures the design of patient care services provided within the therapy departments is appropriate to the scope and level of care for the patients served.
+ Recruits, selects, directs and supports the activities of the Clinical Managers in the therapy departments within the assigned facility.
+ Develops programs to promote the recruitment, retention, and continuing education of all staff members in conjunction with the Clinical Managers, Directors of Rehab Therapy Services across the Division, HR and the Director of Education.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Current state licensure as a Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapist required. (For Speech discipline: Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association required.)
+ A minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a therapist in an acute rehab setting, including a minimum of five years supervisory experience required.
+ Certified BLS required within 90 days of hire or promotion.
**Preferred Experience**
+ Master's Degree or higher preferred.

**Job Summary and Qualifications**
The Director of Therapy Services is responsible for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and PT, OT and ST services lines. This includes patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The Director has the authority to make decisions on these departments in the areas of patient care, education, human resource, and financial management.
**What you will do in this role:**
+ Plan, direct, and supervise the staff of the programs in the center.
+ Develop short- and long-term goals and objectives in consultation with administration and consistent with hospital philosophy.
+ Plan, organize, coordinate, and direct all patient care and non-patient care functions within the department to achieve objectives and comply with regulatory requirements.
+ Establish and implement policies and procedures, standards of performance, and quality assurance program consistent with and complementary to that of the hospital.
+ Oversee the complete scope of operations for all rehabilitation services across the hospital's continuum of care.
+ Collaborate with program directors, rehab managers, and supervisors to ensure development, promotion, and maintenance of rehabilitation and specialty programs across the continuum of care.
+ Maintain fiscal viability of services within departments.
+ Monitor compliance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies.
+ Assure the department delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standards.
+ Manage human resources to assure quality services and promote positive employee relations.
+ Effectively communicate departmental, organization, and industry information to staff.
+ Attend all required Safety Training programs and understand responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, specific job-related hazards.
+ Promote effective working relations and work effectively as part of a department/unit team inter-and intradepartmentally to facilitate the department's/unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
**What qualifications you will need:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
+ Current Tennessee State Physical Therapy License required.
+ Current BLS CPR certification required.
+ 5 years of clinical experience preferred.
+ Demonstrated clinical competence in Acute and Outpatient therapy required.
+ Demonstrated leadership ability and potential managerial competency, including effective communication, people, problem solving, conflict resolution, and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities: Scope of Services
The Independent Contractor-Therapy Services will provide therapeutic mental health services to clients in alignment with the contractor's license, training, and scope of practice. These services aim to support individuals' mental health and well-being and may include, but are not limited to:
- develop individualized treatment plans/Family Service Plans tailored to each client's needs and in collaboration with DFCS case plan.
- Apply clinical techniques to address symptoms related to anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral disorders, and other mental health diagnoses
- Provide timely , goal-oriented services to assigned clients and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated
- Maintain documentation of services provided, including treatment plans, progress notes, and related records, in accordance with contractual standards
- Participate in case reviews, clinical consultation, and collaborative planning with external providers, as requested
- Refer or coordinate with crisis response teams and emergency services when appropriate
- Offer guidance, education, and resource referrals to support client recovery and goal attainment
- Maintain compliance with ethical standards, licensing board rules, DFCS State Org Chart, and all applicable regulations
- Master's Degree in Social Work , Counseling, or a related behavioral health field
- Active licensure or license-eligible as LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or equivalent in the service state
- Minimum of two years' experience providing therapy services to children and/or families
- Must secure independent clinical supervision if not fully licensed
- Reliable means of providing services (in-person or virtual) and ability to meet contractual documentation expectations
- Contractor must live within 100 miles of the assigned reporting office
- Completion of clinical documentation within agreed-upon timeframes
